~sometime in the past~

"Grillby, have you found a way to make an ultimate human soul?" Gaster asked looming over the fire demon.

" Wëłl..." Grillby started, the large shadow of the skeleton loomed over him dining his glow. "Kíñd óf..."

"What do you mean kind of? You've made a soul yes?" Gaster was a kind monster, his voice and body shape were just intimidating to Grillby.

"Ï'vë mädê ä šöùł... Äńd ìt tõók fórm..." Grillby said shyly. "Íńtó å škëłétòń." Gaster froze at this.

"Bût hêr šöûł gávë ôût âńd ï łòśt hér." Grillby said ashamed of himself.

"Don't feel ashamed." Gaster said setting a hand on Grillby's shoulder. "You did your best, hell, you actually made a soul and far more a child." Grillby felt less intimidated as his glow brightened a bit.

"I'm very proud of you." Gaster said to Grillby, "In fact, I have made two skeletons already."

"What?" Grillby said and looked up to Gaster. "You've created living monsters?!"

"Yes. And they're still living." Gaster said and motioned Grillby to follow him, obediently, Grillby followed.

They walked inside the elevator, Gaster hit the very bottom button twice, and down they went. The elevator stopped suddenly jerking Grillby back into the railing. Gaster walked on with his long struts of steps. Grillby looked around the place they were in.

It was dark, a light at the end of the hallway lighting it up faintly, giving it a dark tint. Grillby looked on the map of the lab, this place was uncharted.

"Gäśtër? Whêrè ãrè wę?" Grillby asked shyly.

"My old lab." Gaster said calmly. " the lab you're used too was build on top of it, this is merely a void of my past work."

"OH! BROTHER HE'S BACK!" A voice rang out.

"Oh, and he brought a friend apparently." Another sarcastic voice said. Grillby didn't realize that they'd reached the end of the hallway by now.

"You two. This is my colleague Grillby." Gaster said snapping Grillby's concentration.

"HELLO!"

The other voice mumbled something.

"Hêłlô..." Grillby softly said and leaned to see the faces of the voices.

Two skeletons, one tall and bubbly with joy, the other one more Chibi looking, and depressed looking.

"OH! YOU'RE ON FIRE!" The tall one said, "DADDY GET SOME WATER!"

"Papyrus... Grillby is made of fire..." Gaster said pinching between his eyes.

"Whÿ ârè thęÿ ïń hérè?" Grillby asked Gaster.

"I was conducting an experiment for the small one." Gaster said.

"More like trying to turn me into a monster."

"BUT... WE ARE MONSTERS...? DADDY WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT?"

"Nothing."

"THEN WHY IS HE IN HERE?"

"Pap don't worry about it." The small skeleton said. "You'll understand when you're older. "

"OKAY... I'M JUST WORRIED ABOUT YOU..."

"I know Pap."

"HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO STAY IN HERE?"

"Not much longer hopefully. Just until we can fix this problem."

~sometime in the now~

"Äñd thât'ś höw wé fîrśt mét." Grillby said playing with a stick.

"I REMEMBER." Papyrus said almost crying. "I WISH I KNEW SOONER."

"Pap it's fine now..." Sans said and hugged Papyrus lightly, in return getting a bone crushing hug from his brother.

"I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!" Papyrus cried.

"Losen your grip Pap...!" Sans groaned out losing his imaginary breath. Papyrus did as told as Sans rubbed his throat.

"So you created... another one...?" Sans gasped.

"Ÿéś..." Grillby said. "ßüt î łøśt hèr. Łêt'š héâd báçk ńów, ít'š gèttïńg łàté." So the two skeletons, and the fire demon started to head back home.
