a hypocrite
is all i see in the mirror.
the girl is broken
and breaking
and lies in a million glittering pieces on the floor.
she tries to be kind but she doesn't know how
she is wary
because she knows what happened the last time this happened.
tearing bones
and aching scars
and bleeding hearts.
she can't let go of the past
all the "friends"
and the grudges
and the fucking lies
it is all still harboured in that little spot
between her neck and her collarbone
bruised blue
from all the boys
that she thinks need to
love her.
prides herself on morals
on genuinity
on honesty
but turns her back
on everything
every
one else.
the truth is
how can she save the people around her
friends or
family or
not
if she cannot save herself?
