every little teardrop was poison to her skin
her hands would shake and head would ache
mind drowning in her sin
the years gone past of hate and greed
selfish down to the core
when she lived a life with everything but somehow wanted more
of harsh words and cruelty and broken lines of praise
building a nation that was destined to radiate or raze
for the world was hers for the taking
laid out on a silver plate
she pillaged the mountains and cut the trees a heart filled with nothing but hate
but the hole in her heart kept growing
killing everything in its path
why, she was the head of history
all would subdue to her wrath
yet her greed could still not stop her
for in her head she knew she was destined to rule
a world in which she could conquer
in a competition to test the cruel
she took over the land and the rivers
spilt oil and plastic in the sea
she severed the heads of her brothers
dismissing every desperate plea
and yet she did not stop for a moment
and look back at the damage she had done the world was falling to pieces
charring to ash below the sun
the nature around her was dying
and she did not bother to see
how she was devastating the land
forcing the earth down to its knees
chaos and mayhem erupted around her
but the only solution in sight
was to continue to eradicate
and pray God would answer her plight.
before the world would come to an end
falling prey to sickness and to war
the land would stain with blood from the battle
her body would bear the scar.
every little teardrop was poison to her skin
her hands would shake and head would ache
mind drowning in her sin.
