●●JAKES POV●●

"So, your the poor soul huh?" I hear Skye laugh to my right.

I look up to see Skye laughing with her head tipped back and a smile that reaches her eyes.

"I guess so.." I try and smile. This is not the best situation for tutoring because I was hoping that I would get tutored by someone that I don't really know.

"Hey are you okay?" Skye immediately stops laughing and sits down, worry showing on her face.

" Yeah I'm fine. Tutors are supposed to help me in math, not my life so do your job." I snap

She looks like someone slapped her on the face and I immediately regret what I said to her. But alas, my giant ego cannot even apologize to her.

Her face becomes emotionless and she gets her book out. "You know what your right! And without a tutor you will fail math so good luck with that!" She storms out of the library and I quickly get up after her. When I reach the parking lot I see her skateboarding home already.

Her hair was blowing behind her and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she really was. She was sweet, smart, and funny too.
What am I thinking?!?
I had to stop these thought immediately. I liked Gabby. She was more like the girls I dated. My dad was happy with those kinds of girls. Ones that wouldn't get in the way of your dreams and would stand at your side at events, but lack anything beyond physical attraction. That's why my parents always fight. There is no love between them at all. Mom married for money dad married for her looks.
I knocked on the door to Skye's house and her brother greeted me with a scowl.
"Uhh.. is your sister home?" I asked
Kyle Jackson and I did not have a good history. He kissed my girlfriend at a party last year and I also took his spot on the baseball team. I don't hold anything against him about kissing Cassie though because knowing her she probably threw herself at him.

"Yeah, she is. Why do you want to know?" He looks at me seizing me up

"I need to talk to her."

"Over my dead body Hale. Stay away from my little sister."
Just then Skye walks down stairs and started rambling, not bothering to look up.

"Seriosuly Kyle, if you are going to set a camera in my room, at least try to hide it. And what were you gonna do? Give it to Ty so he can watch me undress? Cause that honestly sick" she laughs and looks up.

" I was hoping to catch you sleep talking so I had some blackmail against you. I need revenge after you filled my shampoo bottle with chunky peanut butter." He grinned at her.

"Uh, hey Skye can I talk to you?" I ask

"I already told you no man." Kyle snaps

"Kyle" Skye glares at him "since when do you control who I talk to?" She looks at me with those beautiful chocolate brown eyes "Lets go"
I follow her out and we start walking down the sidewalk.

"Listen I'm really sorry I snapped at you. I wasn't thinking and I was mad that I had to get tutored in the first place. I got yelled at by my dad for having a low grade in math which could stop my from getting into my dad's dream college on a baseball scholarship"

She stops and grabs my arm.
"Okay, I forgive you for being an idiot. And to solve the whole "I don't want anyone to know I'm getting tutored thing" why don't I tutor you at your house so no one will see?" She suggests

I let out s breath I hadn't realised I was holding.

"Yes, Skye that would be great. Thank you so much."

I hug her and take in her flowery scent before I let her down.

"Thanks for letting my breathe again Jake." She laughs

I think I'm starting to really like this girl. And if this is heading where I think it will, I am in deep trouble.....
