Why do you run away
As the day comes to it's end?
Is it because the moon
Has chased you away?
And why do you stay
Away so long
When others
Dearly need you?
Oh how I wonder
Where do you go
As the day comes to it's end?
For no matter how far I search
Not once do I see your light again.
Maybe sometime
You will come
And stay all day
To scare away nightmares
And the bad thoughts
That people keep.
But sunshine
Oh sunshine
Please just let me sleep.
