♢Kaede Akamatsu: First Free Time Event♢

~February 25, Sunday, Morning~

I was in the cafe, helping out. I did live in Makoto's basement, so I had to repay him and his family.

"Hey, Shuichi. You didn't have to do this, y'know?" Makoto he placed a hand on my shoulder. I smiled at him.

"It's fine. I just want to repay you guys. Besides, I think I can learn a lot if I help out." We both laughed, until we heard a ringing sound.

My phone was ringing. I checked it, and it looks like Kaede messaged me.

Kaede: Hey.

Kaede: I know you still don't believe it, but everything that happened yesterday was real.

Kaede: Don't stress yourself out too much about it, alright?

Kaede: I'm at the park right now, come talk to me if you want.

Should I go hang out with Kaede?

---> Go right away.
---> Reply later.

Shuichi: I'll be right there.

Kaede: Great.

"I have to meet up a friend. Sorry, Makoto." I apologized. Makoto said it was okay, and I headed out.

~Chuo Park, Shinjuku~

I found Kaede sitting on a bench, she was wearing a pink dress with musical notes on it. I waved, and she smiled. I sat beside her.

"Hey, Shuichi. So, how are you feeling?"

"Pretty well. Sometimes I get headaches, but other than that, I'm fine." I replied, lowering my cap a little.

"Ah, that's good then."

There was awkward silence between us two. Really awkward silence.

"So, how's life? I haven't seen you ever since we were six." I said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, it was so sudden you moved. But, I'm doing great! Gotten trophies from piano contests and my grades are good!" Kaede smiled.

"I've learned a lot of songs, and I'm kind of popular now. Oh yeah, it was your first day yesterday, right? I'll introduce you to all our classmates!" She patted my back. I blushed a little and smiled.

"I just kept quiet, not knowing what to say. We stayed like that for a minute until Kaede broke the silence.

"You haven't change, huh?"

I tilted my head, not understanding what she said.

"You're still the quiet, emo, and shy Shuichi I've known." She giggled, while I blushed in embarrasment. It is true that before I've never talked to anyone except for my family and Kaede.

"Try to become more confident! I know you can do anything if you believe in yourself, Shuichi." Kaede placed a hand on mine, and I felt a bit relaxed now.

We spent our time talking about our past.

I feel like my bond with Kaede has deepened.
