Chapter 8

I shrugged and warily climbed into the bed as he got into the sofa bed, my mind was fried from the amount of thinking I’d put it though today and I quickly fell asleep.

Chapter 8

I tossed and turned all night and finally gave up on sleeping, I sat up in the bed and ran my hands though my hair. I looked over to the sofa bed and Marcus’s eyes met mine making me jump,

“Marcus I can’t sleep” I said frustrated. He looked at me and a smirk played on his lips,

“It’s the bond, it pulls you towards your mate and it works on humans to” he said his signature smirk turning into and full grin as he stood up and made his way over to the bed and me,

“If you want to sleep tonight its going to have to be in my arms” he said standing next to the bed.

I stared at him in shock, was he serious I had to sleep with him, in his arms!!! I don’t want to do that, I didn’t even want to be his mate let alone sleep in the same bed as him, what if he tried something?!?

Id been sat there staring at him for several minutes and eventually he just pulled up the blanket and climbed in, wrapping his arms around my waist he pulled me down and to him so we where spooning.

I was about to protest but it just felt so good being in his arms and I just felt so tired sleep over took me and I quickly fell asleep.

(Next morning still Alicia’s pov)

I woke up feeling completely refreshed and as corny as it seems I felt at peace, like everything was right, well until I tried to roll over that was.

That was when I noticed I was in a sleeping Marcus’s vice like grip, I tried to wriggle free and slide out of his arms until I heard and growl erupt from Marcus’s chest, I froze.

He growled what in what I can only describe in (much to my disgust) the sexiest voice,

“If you keep wriggling your butt against me, I cannot be held responsible for what happens to you”

And that’s when I freaked out, partially from what he just said and partially because of how much it turned me on. I twisted and turned until I eventually got out of his arms and then I quickly ran into the bathroom, slamming and locking the door behind me.

Marcus pov

I lay on my bed panting trying control my ranging hormones; I tried to think of anything grannies, kittens, frogs anything to control my body. Because right now I wanted nothing more than to smash down that door and make crazy love to my mate.

Why did she have to wriggle her cute little butt against me, it turned me wild, I knew my eyes where black and my only thoughts when making her scream my name.

Eventually my thoughts where cleared and my “friend” had gone away, climbing off of the bed I made my way over to the bathroom door,

“Alicia?? Alicia, come out” I said knocking no the door. I heard her shuffle around but she made no move to open the door,

“Come Alicia I’m okay now and it’s not my fault I’m undoubtedly attracted to you” I said in what I hoped was a comforting voice.

Alicia’s pov

I heard him stood outside the door pleading me to come out, no way.

“Are you scared Alicia??” he said his voice mocking. I frowned I was Alicia Brooks there was no way I was scared, I know he was trying to trick me but I don’t care, I was acting like a chicken after all.

I stood up and swung open the door,

“I was not scared, I needed to use the bathroom and you wouldn’t let me go!!” I said smirking at him,

“Oh really, because I didn’t hear anything and I’m a vampire I can hear a feather fall from miles away” he said cockily.

 I frowned at him, stupid, arrogant Vampire prince. I turned to him,

“I’m hungry” I said with a wicked grin; let’s see how far I could push Marcus.

He looked at me confused before nodding and opening the door,

“Come on then” he said leading towards the kitchen. Grinning evilly I followed him. Once we where there he asked me what I wanted, jumping up one of the breakfast stools I replied pancakes.

He nodded and a few minutes later the gorgeous smell of pancakes wafted around the air,

“What do you want on them??” he asked m

“Hmmm could I have honey please” I asked with my sweetest smile,

“Sure honey” he said with a cheesy grin, making me roll my eyes. He put the honey on and then passed them to me, I took one bite and then looked at him confused,

“Umm I don’t think I like honey” I said. He looked annoyed but nodded,

“Its okay I’ll make some more”. And after he had made those and put the requested lemon and sugar on them I took another bite, and told him I didn’t like it again.

Five flavours later he growled at me, I looked over at the syrup, jam, hazelnut, banana and chocolate pancakes and grinned.

“It okay I think I’ll just eat the chocolate ones” I said in an overly happy voice. He growled and sat down,

“Whatever”

I laughed and dug into the pancakes, they where really good and he deserved me annoying him after treating me like shit even when he knew I was his mate. But now I felt I’d got it out of my system and maybe this could work.

Jumping up from me seat I headed towards the stairs and a moody and seriously pissed off Marcus quickly over took me and led me up and into his bedroom.

 I pushed passed him and into the bedroom, I saw the bags lay on the floor next to the bed where Marcus had obviously but them last night.

Walking over to the bag I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a long purple top, a black belt and some black flats. Turning around I looked at him,

“Can I use your bathroom?? The showers cold in the other one” I asked fidgeting uncomfortably under his gaze. He grinned,

“Sure, want me to show you how it works” he said smirking.

“No” I said flatly as I walked into the bathroom.

Stripping off my clothes I had the nicest shower of my life, the water was a perfect temperature and the water didn’t just come from above it sprayed from everywhere, it was amazing.

Whilst I was drying my hair I started thinking about actually being Marcus’s mate, I mean really being a couple. I didn’t have to jump into it but giving him a chance wouldn’t hurt, would it??
