Chapter 3

A/N short chapter yay

Ash's POV (This is the same day as in the first chapter...if that makes any sense?)

I got woken up by Hunter, who was jumping up on me.

"Ghet up! We move todah!" Hunt said to me and kept jumping

"Okay! Okay! I'm up," I said without opening my eyes.

It was quiet and the jumping stopped. I thought he left but no, when I opened my eyes he was staring at me "you eyes weren'th open,"

"They opened now Hunt!" I started to sit up "I love you Hunt," I said and ruffled his hair before looking around my emptied room besides a few boxes.

After I got home last night from hanging with Brett and the whole soccer team, I told them I was leaving and fuck was that hard I suck at saying bye sometimes. I started to pack and put things in my truck, I'm lucky I got to keep my baby.

Mom called us downstairs for brunch "boys! Food is ready!"

"Let's go I'm starving," I put him on my hip and made our way downstairs.

"Mmmmm smells good in here mom," I put Hunt down who made his way to the chair and kissed mom on the cheek before making myself and Hunt a plate.

"Thanks, I thought we could have our last meal together but your father and Jack went to the office to pack up some things," Mom sat across from me and sitting beside Hunt.

I nodded my head.

"After can you quickly finish packing his," she pointed to Hunt "room before you leave to make a visit I wasn't able to finish last night."

"Mhm," I nodded since my mouth was full.

"Thanks Ash and I mean it with the way you acted last night I'm proud of you making effort. Your father and I may not show it since we were busy with work but we're so damn proud of you," she said with teary eyes.

"Mom please stop before you get all teary on me,"

"I'm sorry,"

I stood up and walked to her and both Hunt and I gave her a hug.

"You boys are really sweet, I love you guys," We hugged until her phone ruined the moment and she got up to answer it.

"Hello? Mmhm," she looked at the clock "yeah I can come in thirty minutes, your welcome I'll see you then bye!"

She looked at Hunt before me "I need to go to work for a couple hours, they're really busy right now and need help. I'll call Leslie and ask her if she can babysit,"

"Yeah..."

After what happened with the car accident Leslie and I stopped talking but only if it was about Hunter. We hooked up once when I came home drunk and needed to release some other stress. I heard she got a new boyfriend, good for her I don't care.

I looked at the clock that read 10:47am "Crap! I'm running late," I kissed Hunter's forehead and starting walking to the front door "I love you Hunt and mom! I promise to finish his room when I'm back."

"I wove chu," Hunt said to me.

"Okay sweetie, I love you," mom said.

I closed the door and made my way to my truck.

I've been sitting in the parking lot looking outside the window at the cemetery for almost an hour.

I can't do this.

Yes you can, it's the least you can owe her.

I literally can't. I haven't moved one bit since I parked the truck.
