my eyes trailed after the crisp autumn leaves. i watched other students walk past me, some alone, some in large groups of people. i was no longer interested in what my friends were talking about. all i was aware of was that i was shivering cold, with no warmth offered. i was seeking for someone's kind words, but nothing was said.

my friends wonder off somewhere, like they never noticed i was with them. i sat on the nearest bench lonesome, watching the cool breeze softly blowing the fiery red leaves on the trees. the sun peaking out from the slightly grey clouds shine through the vibrantly colored leaves.

out of the corner of my eye, i see a red-haired boy plop down beside me. before i could glance over towards him, he speaks.

"hey there! you were sitting alone so i figured i'd give you some company," the boy says extending his hand to shake mine, "i'm jooheon, by the way."

i peer into his small, but quite adorable eyes, i scan every feature of him. he's really...cute. i shake his hand introducing myself.

"i'm minhyuk," my mood brightens up in the thought that this boy offered to accompany me, "nice to meet you!"

before we could start up a conversation, school bell rang.

"guess i'll catch you later, nice meeting you minhyuk! i hope we can become great friends!" jooheon uttered with a grin.

we ran opposite ways to our classes. during class, all i could think about was him. i simply could not erase the thought of him, his bright smile and adorably deep dimples. his vivid red hair, and soothing voice. i...was in love with him.

i strolled out of my last period class, making my way to the exit of the school. as i leave, i spot jooheon with a group of people, evidently, his friends. i hesitate to walk over, as i don't want to interrupt whatever they may be doing. so i don't, and i head home.
