I wake up to loud, agonizing screams. But, this is normal for us. Each day, a new person dies, and is left there to rot. Sometimes, their cell mates will eat them. I personally think the flesh is disgusting. But, the blood is alright.

"Hey, sweetheart. How are you holding up?" Asks my dad, the imfamous Sirius Black as he comes over to my corner and sits down.

"I'm getting closer to the edge dad! I don't know how much longer I can hold on! I'm scared." I respond, letting a tear slip.

"Lyra, it's ok. All you have to do is keep on fighting." Dad starts, before Aunt Bellatrix interrupted him.

"Oh, cousin. Dear cousin." She coos, inching closer to us. "It's not as easy as you think. The whispers inch around your brain. It pulls you to the dark side, and once your in. You'll never come out!"

"Why should I believe you, since you're so far in yourself?!" Father retorts, raising his voice.

That is when I realize that Bellatrix has her hand behind her back. When someone does that, they usually have something in their hand. In this case, that something would most likely be a weapon (or as close to one you can get.) I stand up, so I can get a better angle for defending myself. But, this only causes her to lash out. She grabs my wrist, and spins my around so my back is against her front, and she has her arm around my neck. Her other hand brings a sharpened stick to my neck, and switches positions.

"Leave her alone Bella!!!!" Yells my father as he stands up, ready to strike.

"Awww! But that would take all of the fun out of it!" Bellatrix pouts, as she digs the stick deeper into my neck, drawing blood. My father glares at her, and I hear her shuffling, and she whispers in my ear. "I'm not done with you yet."

Bellatrix lets me go, and I run to my dad. He pulls me into his chest, and tries to, comfort me. But, I know his condolences won't work. Aunt Bellatrix was right. Sanity isn't just something you can keep very easily here.

"My dear, dear, niece..." She sneers. "You won't be able to hold on to this sanity of yours for much longer, and soon enough..... Your Daddy won't be there for you to run to."

Bellatrix laughs madly, and I shiver, realizing that she is telling the truth. Father won't be there for me much longer. He's too young to die. But, he is innocent, and that gives him an advantage. The advantage of being immune to the Dementor's effects on your mind.

He is still sane, and that gives him the chance to escape.
