AN: Time Skip!!!!
"Dad!" I exclaim, trying to get some sense into him. "You can't leave!"
"Then you can come with me!" He says for about the fourth time. "Lyra, I already told you this...."
"And I already told you that I can't! " I interrupt. "I was born from two parents who were believed guilty! That means that the dementors already have a connection to me, and that I can't leave. If I try, they would automatically know!"
"You don't know that....." He responds, his tone hesitant.
"Oh, dear cousin. She does." Interrupts Bellatrix, with a smirk on her face that makes a shiver go down my spine. "Although I hate to admit it. Your daughter is smart. She could figure a way out of here in a day if she wanted to. But, she can't, and you know it. If she could, you two would've been gone already."
Father, knowing that she's right, looks at me with tears in his eyes. I know that he doesn't want to leave me, but he says he has to "find his godson". Whoever that is. He says he will come back for me, but what will he find when he does? I won't be the same.
"Sweetheart, I will come back for you." Dad tries to reassure.
"I know you will. I'll just miss you." I lie, trying to make him feel better about it. Rather than telling the truth.
"I'll miss you to, but I have to go, before the dementors make their rounds." He says in a rush. Almost as if he wanted to leave me behind. "Goodbye, Lyra."
"Goodbye father. Now go, I don't want you to miss your chance." I say, before watching him shift into his animagus form, and slipping through the bars.
"You lied to him." Bellatrix says curiously. "Why?"
"I lied to him, so he wouldn't worry about me as much." I snap. "It's not like you would know anything about that anyways."
She left me alone after that, but she would still stare at me curiously, and mumble to herself. She was still her insane self, but it just wasn't the same without him. He was the only warm presence in this prison, and now....... He's gone. I'll try to hold up, father. I'll try for you.
