Age: 20

You had accumulated quite a number of times when you experienced exhilarating moments throughout your short life. Roller coasters, carnival rides, haunted houses, horror movies, high school senior year…

And you could most definitely confirm that the seconds you felt your body warp and be tugged on through the confines of what seemed to be drug-induced was not one of them. It was almost difficult to catch the dark hues of color through the intense vertigo you experienced, but it was far from being shy of impossible to glimpse for even the short fracture of time you were in the unfamiliar void.

But almost as it had begun, it ended.

You felt your heart pounding like a locomotive engine, head spinning and the beginnings of stale breakfast rising from the pit of your stomach. Your clammy hands gripped tightly to the dark loose shirt that hung on the man’s arms, closing your eyes and pressing your head to his chest.

“I think I'm going to die,” you moaned and sunk your head deeper into his upper body. You probably smeared some of your blood on his vest, and you felt partially guilty about it despite the circumstances.

His arms shifted as to slowly put you on your feet, but formed a ring around your wobbling form to prevent you from collapsing into a pitiful heap. “That's how most feel when teleporting kilometers away from a heavily guarded secret base,” he replied just as you had managed to stabilize yourself with the help of his arms.

You tried to gain your bearings, and tried to carry on the conversation while in the process, “You've helped more people escape through heavily guarded secret bases?”

Your frizzled, overdue-of-a-haircut locks of hair blocked most of your vision. You were reminded again of the lack of eyesight from the darkness in one of your eyes, and the firm bandages that seemed to hold up quite firmly around your head despite your whole action sequence with blondie.

Still, you made due with what you had and tried to meet his gaze--er helmet visor, “Actually you're the only one that I've attempted to rescue with that technique. Didn't really think it would have worked, but it did, so I think that's quite an accomplishment,” he answered with a growing grin.

You didn't know whether to feel thankful or horrified.

“But back to more serious matters,” he added before you had any further time to react, “I've only teleported us a distance away from the rendezvous point. We're going to have to walk to the area and meet up, hopefully, with my team.”

“You have a whole team?” you asked him as you took in the view of the area.

You realized that you were on top of an apartment building, with a fence lining the outer ring of the building the rooftop door leading to your location, and even poles tied with a clothesline. A few white sheets and some articles of clothing that seemed to be the size of a child where pinned up and fluttering slightly from the wind. A few other apartment buildings lined up the street block, some being smaller than most.

You heard him shuffle around behind you, and turned around to see him pull off some of the clothes that had been hung on the clothesline. He glanced at you for a brief moment before plucking a pair of jeans that appeared close to your size. “I can't really tell what size clothes you wear, and even less so when you're wearing such loose clothing,” he hummed thoughtfully, “But these should do,” he finished and tossed the bundle he acquired in your direction.
