Side Effect (Narry Mpreg)

harry's pov

I lay down on the table, getting ready for an ultrasound scan. My mum came with me; Liz didn't want to because she didn't feel like coming, and had other things to do. 

We followed my midwife; a small petite blonde, who was newer to nursing but she knows the most of what is happening with me as a guy who's pregnant. I'm the 3rd pregnant guy she's dealt with. 

Her name was Dr Roberts, and I am honestly so thankful for her. She brought me to the back room, there were a giant machine and a small tv in front of the hospital bed. 

She got me to lay down and pulled my shirt up. "How have your cravings been?"

"Awful, I can't stop eating," I say. 

She nodded, "And the morning sickness?" 

"Also has been bad." 

"That's normal for the first trimester, hopefully, it slows down when you get into the second trimester next week. Something I'd suggest is actually some ginger tea, it should help." I nodded at her words. 

She rubbed the gel on my belly; my mum was sat in the chair next to the bed watching the screen. Dr Roberts take a machine and runs it over my belly, the ultrasound pops up on the screen, showing a small baby. "Your baby right now is about the size of a plum. Which is normal for a baby at 12 weeks." 

"When can we tell the sex?" I asked, not that it matters. 

She smiles at me "Around 18 weeks is when I usually can check for the sex."

I looked back at the screen, staring at my child. That's really half of me and Niall. I need to get something for him; I'd of asked him to come but it would have just looked sketchy, I think. 

"Do you want to hear the heartbeat?" I nod and she presses something on the machine and suddenly my babies heartbeat goes to my ears. This is really happening, I felt tears start to pool in my eyes. 

I need to give this baby everything I can, even if it means sacrificing my relationship with Niall.
