Rain.
Seoul was beautiful when it rained, or at least it was to him. This was where he had a chance to drown himself in his dreams, and even if the light wasn't within his reach, it would still be worth it.
Home had always been the breathtaking view of mountains when he opened the curtains of his room window, a light breeze blowing through all day, neither too cold nor too hot, always the perfect weather to go the park nearby and practice dancing till he dropped, or just taking a walk down the beach with headphones plugged in, deaf to the hustle around him.
It would be different, he knew that, or actually he hoped it would be.
Change was what he wanted in his life at this point, when he wouldn't know what hit him, pushed to his limits to such an extent that he would have no other choice but do better and be better.
He would not be made the source of amusement for someone ever again, especially when it was at his expense.
Dragging his luggage over the pavement, water splashing over the heels of his worn out shoes, he was already beginning to feel his nerves bundling up and freeze, and this was not a good sign; Pushing away all thoughts from his mind, he tried his best to settle his jumbled nerves, which was getting tied up in a very tight knot.
This was ridiculous! He was acting like a mouse running away at the sign of any danger approaching, but even they were braver than him, at least they tried again and again, never giving up until they had obtained the cheese from the trap.
He didn't want to give up ever, but in this moment, all he could think of was how warm and welcoming his bed at home would be, his mother engulfing him in her warm hugs and endless kisses.
Homesickness within an hour of his coming to Seoul was not what he had expected, he felt like crying, and to be honest he could already feel the telltale signs of his eyes fogging up and getting warm.
This was the last time he was going to cry, he could allow himself this small moment of weakness today, because he knew this would not be possible when he stepped into his new abode, he couldn't trust anyone here, he wouldn't.
The building he was supposed to go to was fast approaching within his sight, his small shoulders hunched under the overly large t-shirt he was wearing, he crumpled the piece of paper with the address of BigHit Entertainment scrawled in minuscule writing, he would not be needing it anymore, the way to the agency was engraved in his mind and he doubted he would ever forget it, it had been a very observant walk all the way from the train station.
Looking back at it, he was being a bit too hard on himself, he could come to enjoy himself here, he could be happy, but these flashbacks he was having currently were not helping at all and so he gave up any pretense of looking forward to his stay and just steeled himself to a life where and if he ever comes across a chance at happiness he would not jump at it without a moment's hesitation, that much he had learned by now, nothing was worth the pain and misery that you drown yourself in when that happiness is snatched away..What he didn't realize was that his happiness would not be his alone anymore, a bond so strong was waiting patiently in his path, a path which may lead him to such agonizing moments that he would suffer through gladly to protect and cherish. something he held so close to his heart, and he would still be smiling through it all.
