Being Adopted By Yogscast

Chap. 12-The new friend

We started talking about our lives and ourselves. We learnt more about each other. I learnt that he skateboards and that he likes gaming-it's like a getaway from everything else. I also learnt that his parents aren't divorced, but they often go on business trips at different times. He believes this is a sign that they are going to divorce sooner or later.

I told him about how I sometimes got bullied too. They would make fun of me for my body. My body isn't even that big! I mean, I have bigger thighs, yes, but is it really that bad? Anyways, nobody seemed to care to much today, so I should be good. I didn't tell him about the fact I was adopted or that my parents were part of the yogscast. I guess I didn't want him to know.

We kept talking until the nurse told me that my parents had come. I said goodbye to John. He looked sad, but still waved back.

When we got home, I went straight to my bedroom, exhausted. I got changed and brushed my teeth. Then, I flopped down onto the bed. I lay there thinking about today. I had made a friend, well I guess a boyfriend, and been in a weird fight thing.

I thought about the rest of the year and what it might hold for me. All these things were still going through my head as I fell asleep.

At school the next day, I saw John talking to one of his only friends. He had told me about him yesterday. It was Ryan Fleshbourne. He had thick brown hair, puffy cheeks and glasses. As I approached them, I noticed he had green eyes. I was able to tell it was him because he was tall and had a larger body size. He loomed over John.

I went to them and stood against the wall. I didn't want to intrude, but I wanted to stay near. Their conversation ended and John beckoned to me to get over to them. I complied and stood closer. He introduced me to Ryan.

"Ryan, this is Scarlett. Scarlett, this is Ryan."

"Nice to meet you, Ryan."

"Nice to meet you too."

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Time to get a watch, Scarlett." John replied.

"It's 8:28. If you must know." Ryan said.

"Thank you. You're much more help then this dude." I say, pointing to John. I give him a sort of look, but then laugh, showing that it was all a joke.

"I guess we should start heading in." John said.

"What do you guys have?" I ask.

"Math." Says John.

"French" says Ryan.

"I have drama. I guess none of us will be together then."

"Unfortunately not." John says.

We get to the door just as the bell rings.
