Warm, sweet smells wafted through the air. Below my feet, hard marble circled in patterns.Local stand owners selling food chatted indistinctively to customers.

Cornemuse smiled and grabbed my hand pulling me towards the nearest shop.

Jay followed uncomfortably,

"I am going to begin researching our family at the library."

I began to protest but when I turned back he had disappeared. My brother is creepy!

3 hours later are hunger curved on breaded pastries, we sat on a brick bridge over an ankle deep river.

"Everything is so beautiul!"I murmurred.

"Just wait,"

The sun tucked itself behind he horizon. Within minutes, sparkling lights flew on illuminating every shadowy corner.

"Wow." I breathed

He put his arm around my shoulders. I smiled and looked up at the sky, fireworks exploded.

I craned my neck back-my jeans skidded of the wall and I fell face first. My arms instinctively tried to catch myself.

The bridge was only about 4ft tall, but when I hit the bottom my wrist snapped back. I screamed in pain, than began breathing slowly. In through my nose, out through my mouth. Cornemuse drug me out of the ditch. My jeans were cut from the rocks and my wrist was badly injured.

"Now what?" I thought.
