Once I finally get Lily off me, force Cassie off Maya and get dressed I am able to go and get some breakfast. Maya runs toward our usual table, full speed, toast, eggs, and bacon on a plate in one hand, tablet open to YouTube in the other. She is, no joke, exploding inside. I can see her face. That is what I call "fangirling". We both do it. Lily and Cassie on the other hand; they fangirl differently. Lily and Cassie don't like gamers, they love comedy and vloggers. Liza Koshy (cool enough), Jake Paul (ugh), Logan Paul (double ugh), Daily Bumps (clickbaity titles, other than that OK), Lily Singh (I'll watch her too sometimes so...). You name it, if they vlog or do comedy, they watch it. So Lily and Cassie don't fangirl like we do. They instead squeal and scream and sometimes faint (please, please, don't ask).
Ok. Enough (ranting?) ranting. Back to now. Maya is Sonic-The-Hedgehog-ing through the cafeteria. She plops down in between Sarah and I. Maya props the tablet up, and we watch the livestream intently.
"No goddamn way!" Sarah says.
And that's when I see the most perfect family ever walk in
Rachel's POV
Matt and I love kids. There is no doubt about that. We always wanted to have our own, and luckily we have our own beautiful daughter, Summer, (she's 2 1/2) but we always wanted her to have a sibling.
When we read in the newspaper about the local orphanage having an adoption day, we just had to go. We knew this was our chance to make something special happen for one of these kids
Emily's POV
Oh. My. God. Maya screamed. Sarah looked at us like this could be the greatest and really only chance to meet a family who wants us.
~An Hour Later~
Maya, Cassie, Lily and I are all sitting at our table, the one where we sit, and wait for the parents to show up and interview us. We get done being interviewed by a nice couple with three children already, and then they go visit Sarah. That's when they walk in, their little girl in tow.
