Chapter 10 ~ He Was Right

Sydney’s P.O.V

We were here. I still don’t know why I would dream of a picnic, better than any ordinary picnic. I am not convinced yet. I heard my door open. It was cold, I started to shiver. He placed his hand on mine and I pulled away. “It’s ok, I won’t bite. Plus you kind of don’t know where we are, you are wearing a blindfold.” He was right.

“Right, I knew that.” He grabbed my hand and squeezed it, I squeezed back, and then he slowly lifted me out of the car so gently. He told me to take small easy steps so I wouldn’t stumble.

It was about 8:30, we arrived to our ‘picnic’ after walking for what seemed like hours, I hope he impresses me because my legs are aching.

Harry’s P.O.V

It was sort of a funny sight watching Sydney walk around with a boot (Cast boot ;D) and a cast around her left arm, whilst trying to navigate through the forest – even though she didn’t need to, I was doing all the work – in the pitch black.

We finally made it to our destination. I slowly removed her blindfold and she was amazed. Sydney’s mouth hung open in surprise. “Oh no you didn’t!”

“Oh you bet I did” I was happy she was pleased I grabbed her hand and we walked over to the set up. It was in a grassy meadow with millions of little flowers scattered around the blanket. She took her time to admire the work I had done, well the work me AND the boys did. “Do you like it?” She looked at me as a tear ran down her red cheeks.

“You were right. This is…” she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. “Amazing… You win.” She opened her sparkly eyes and smiled at me.

I pulled her into a hug. “Does that mean you trust me?”

“Yes”

Sydney’s P.O.V

For the rest of the night we sat on the blanket and talked about our lives. “Wow you had a pretty harsh past.”

“Yeah.” I looked down and my eyes started to tear up. No Sydney don’t cry you will look like a fool. No matter how much my head was telling me to shut up and not cry, I did. I let out a small sob.

“What’s wrong? Did I say something?”

“No not at all, it’s just that I never really realized how bad my past has been. Now my future ahead of me is crashing to.” I threw my head into my red numb hands and let out a few quiet sobs. Until I realized Harry had his arm around my shoulder. I slowly snuggled into him and dozed off to sleep in his warm arms on the picnic blanket.
