Chapter 14 ~ Oh No…!

Sydney’s P.O.V

(Time Jump: 1 year)

 

“Daisy can you come here please.” Not long after a little toddler wobbled into the room with a smile on her face. About five seconds later Harry walked in with an evil grin on his face.

His face changed when he saw Daisy putting on her dress I made for her. “Aww, me and Daisy were playing TICKLE BOOT CAMP” He stood up straight and wriggled his fingers and made Daisy laugh. She put her hands on her face and started to copy my laugh. “She got that from you” Harry pointed at me with a grin.

“Yeah but she has Mason’s nose and eyes.” I looked at the ground and shut my eyes for a minute.

“Mummy, yow ockay?” The way Daisy pronounces her words made me smile.

“Mummy’s fine Daisy.”

“I wanna has ice-cream!” Daisy ran off and stood at the front door like she does when she wants to go outside. She fell on the ground and began to – attempted to – put her shoes on. “I’s weady Mummy!”

“Good girl Daisy.” I turned to Harry who was putting his shoes on. “Harry I-“ I dashed to the bathroom as quick as I could. What had come over me? I was fine just before? Probably some food poisoning, I did have some weird tasting steak for dinner last night. I walked out of the bathroom and Harry was standing outside the door.

“Are you ok Syd?” He had a worried look on his face.

“I’m fine, probably a bit of food poisoning.”

“Yeah, did that steak taste weird to you too?” I nodded and we walked out the front door. I strapped Daisy into her car seat and then walked around to passenger seat. “Where to babe?”

“Maybe go to the ice-cream palace first, so we can get ice-cream for Daisy, then… The park?”

“Sure” He started the car and we pulled out of the driveway and began driving. The song ‘Kiss You’ came on.

“DADDA! Is you!” Daisy pointed at the radio when the song came on. She knows all of the songs. She started singing – more like mumbling – the words to Kiss You.

“So Syd, I know we have like never talked about this-“

“Please don’t tell me you want to break up! Am I not good enough? I knew I was never good enough for you…” I dropped my head into my hands.

“No! Actually I want to talk to you about going public.”

 

“Not yet Harry, you know what has happened to your previous girlfriends Harry, I don’t want to be attacked like that.”

“It’s ok, we can wait a little bit sweetie.”

“Ok Daisy is in bed, I’m just going to go to the corner store to get some stuff. You should go to bed you have a big day tomorrow.” Harry kissed my cheek and walked off to our room. “Goodnight babe”

“Goodnight”

I quickly grabbed my bags and walked to the corner store. I picked up the same four things that ruined everything two years ago. “Are you-“

“YES! This time I am 18!” The same nerdy guy was behind the counter, geez him and rules.

I was on the couch shaking and my eyes started to overfill with tears. Soon I felt a warm drop roll down my cheek. I walked back to the bathroom, whilst trying not to wake Daisy or Harry. I slowly approached the final device. Oh no…!
