I was hypnotized by the greenish yellow hills, the grass looked parched and dying because of the lack of rain. I starred at the hills from my backyard porch. The oak trees that surrounded me, smelt heavenly. I smiled, as the memory of how my dad and I would roll down those hills every summer hit me. I reached for the locket that hung from my neck and opened it, my father's soothing lullaby played. His picture was in my locket. He died in a car accident when I was little but I miss him terribly.

I still have my lovely mother. My mom has been working over seas in Europe selling houses. I have always found it funny that she works there instead of here. But, thats just the way it goes, she hardly stops by to say hi or anything for that matter. She earns a lot of money and leaves it for me which I have no idea how but she does. I still think she's a spy.

I sighed and levitated my locket, it rotated around. My name is beautifully engraved in silver on the front of the gleaming locket.

Just then, I heard a crash inside my modern and stylish home and my locket dropped in my palm. I sat up from the lounge chair that was outside. I quickly got out of it's comforting hold and stealthly made my way into my house. I stepped inside the living room and grabbed an expensive lamp, as I walked away it unpluged; I tightly held it above my head. I peeked around the corner to my kitchen to find a multi colored wolf. It stood tall, it's back came to my waist. It was the biggest wolf I have ever seen. It rumadged through my cubboards. I stood there thinking, I should be afraid, I should run. My heart pounded as I slammed my back into the wall that kept me concealed. Why on earth was a wolf in my house? But what could it want other than a mid-day snack?

It turned around and starred at me. I stood there frozen, eyes wide at the sudden movement. I furrowed my eyebrows and absentmindedly asked aloud "Well, who let you in?"

* * * * * * * *

We stood like this for quite sometime, each one starring at the other. After a while I shrugged, I figured if it was gonna do something I would dead, ripped to pieces by my intrusion. I sighed and shook my head, the thoughts that swirled left and, I contiuned back to my porch slowly and to the comfy chair that went with it, muttering how I have the worst imagination ever.

Thats when I heard Selena, my werecat, meow. Solid but low almost a growl. I goaned and turned back to the kitchen I reached out to Selena's mind. And eased her. She responeded haughtly by thinking 'I don't like him.'

I have always been able to connect with Selena on a basis like this, she sends me thought mail as I like to call it. She doesn't really read my mind she just talks to me telepathically. Its a bonus of being a werecat.

I heard another growl come from the kitchen. I leisurely creeped into the kitchen, to find an open fridge. Great, he's moved on to my huge ice box. Selena was sitting on my granite top island, swishing her tail. I rolled my eyes, she's such a drama queen. She likes being a tabby, the thing with werecats is they have the abillity to change into many animals but they stick with their original eye color, Selena's eyes are a mossy bright green. My father gave her to me as a gift when I was five; I'm eighteen now and she's my best friend.

I looked at Wolf and my first impulse was to stroke his silky, glistening fur; it felt like I was starring at beautiful autumn leaves. He noticed me starring at him fondly and with his head he closed the fidge. Tentively, he walked forward with his head low, he eyed me up almost examining me. This gave me an awkward feeling I just couldn't shake.

I retorted to his stare "What?" thinking he could understand me, I shook my head. Selena made a small noise to protest but didn't do anything further.

Surprised he held his head up and cocked it to one side.

I wasn't wearing anything spectacular and I hardly do. My wavy/curly red-maroon hair fell to my elbows; I was wearing a simple tank top and sweats. It's a Sunday, what am I supposed to wear? He still looked intrigued like he was pondering a wonderful painting.

"Well not that this isn't fun," I said shifting under his uncomfortable stare, "but you have kinda outstayed your welcome."

I exited the kitchen towards the front room and I heard his paws travel after me. I made my way to the front door and reached for the door, yanking it open. The wood rattled the windows as I opened it.

I turned my head and noticed him stopped a couple feet away, "Ya know you can leave anytime you want." I cocked my head at hi and motioned for him to leave. He snorted in response.

Awesome, just stay here while I feed you and Hey I have a great idea want to spend the night? Jeez, when is he ever going to leave, its not like you can really tell a wolf "Hey you have really stayed long enough. Please leave."

I threw my hands up and let out an exasperated sigh and started walking away from where we stood. "You know what? Stay as long as you want! I don't care! Its not weird that theres a wolf in my hou-" I was inturupted by a very loud and noisy whine. I slowly turned my head and angrily responded, "What do you need!?"

I heard Selena meow again and strut towards us, when she's a cat she definatly acts the part. She morphed into a human, her green eyes never changing. She has semi long brown hair and is about my height, 5'8. I don't know how old she is but she looks a few years older than me. I looked over to her and she was giving Wolf the death stare. I chuckled, she always is protective over me.

I looked back to Wolf, and instead there was a teenage boy starring at Selena. I blinked at him. Then everything felt like it was in slow mo. From Selena going into defense mode as a tiger, to me levitaing this strange boy towards the ceiling and the loud clamor coming from him.

"Who are you?!" I screeched, now standing. "Where's Wolf?!"

"Let me explain!" he yelled back at me waving his hands.
