~Jason's POV~
Maddie may live or die tonight by what Adam told us. I hope the blood doesn't fail, I can't loose her.
"Hey how are you guys feeling?" I ask Preston and Ian as they walk back to the group.
"We're okay, just dizzy." Ian said, taking a seat in his chair.
"Are you guys friends and/or family of Maddie?" The doctor asked walking over to us.
"Yes sir." Adam answered.
"Okay we are allowed to have 5 people go in and see Maddie at a time. She is in room 164 on the 4th floor." He said and walked back to his office.
"Okay the first group is Me, Jason, Ian, Preston, and Mitch. Next group is Louise, Jerome, Seto, Alesa, and Ryan." Adam said.
"Let's go shall we?" Mitch said.
We started walking to the elevator and I pushed the 4th floor button.
I heard Mitch groan. "What's wrong now?" I said to Mitch.
"I screwed up dood. Maddie's gonna hate me." He said looking at the ground.
The elevator doors open to reveal a long hallway full of rooms. We walk to find Maddie's room and walk in.
She lied there, looking pale. "She's in a minor coma. She can hear you and can squeeze your hand but can't talk back. The blood has worked but we don't know when she'll wake up. I'm sorry guys, I truly am." The nurse said and walked out of the room.
"Look what I've done." Mitch said taking a seat and putting his head in his hands.
I sit by Maddie and hold her hand, she gives me a gentle squeeze letting me know she knows I'm here.
"Hey Maddie. I know you can here me and I know you can't talk back but please, I don't wanna loose you. Please stay with me Maddie. If you are gone I don't know what I will do. All the memories we shared together. Those times when you needed help I was there. I won't be able to live with myself if you're gone. Please Maddie. I love you-" I whisper with tears coming down my face and I kissed her hand. "Don't leave me now baby girl." I kiss her forehead and let Adam speak.
Adam broke down crying just trying to talk to her. I saw her hand squeeze his trying to reassure him, but it didn't work.
Everybody took their turn saying their words and then it was Mitch's turn. He grabbed her hand but I didn't see her squeeze his hand.
"Maddie, just look at you. Look what I have done to you. You probably hate me now, probably wanting to die so you don't have to deal with me. I'm sorry Maddie. I never meant for it to go this far. Please stay with us." He said trying to get her to squeeze his hand but it didn't work. He got up and left the room.
I guess she was upset with Mitch. They're best friends, what happened?
~Maddie's POV~
I heard the nurse talking to someone. Are those the guys?
"Look what I've done." I hear Mitch say. Lets just say, I'm upset with him. He's my best friend but he went too far.
I feel someone take my hand, I give them a gentle squeeze to know I'm here and I'm listening.
"Hey Maddie. I know you can here me and I know you can't talk back but please, I don't wanna loose you. Please stay with me Maddie. If you are gone I don't know what I will do. All the memories we shared together. Those times when you needed help I was there. I won't be able to live with myself if you're gone. Please Maddie. I love you-" He whispers so only I can hear. I feel a few tears land on my hand and he kisses my hand. "Don't leave me now baby girl." He kissed my forehead and let go of my hand.
