"Stephanie can you come here." Stephanie trails out of her bedroom and she rubs her sleepy eyes.
"Hmm?" She yawns and sits down in the chair. I hand her a paper. "What is this?"
"Just read it and you will find out." she opens the letter so slowly like a sloth. I can't take it so I grab the paper from her hands and decided to read. "Zoe Chestnut we are proud to tell you that your two darlings, Mabel and Dipper will be happy to be your son and daughter. We will contact you when we are in front of your home. You will be expecting them February 21." I watched Stephanie's eyes get wide, she is frowning.
"Zoe..." She said as if I am a bad kid get a lecture form their parent.
"Yes..."
"You know we just got married two months ago and we need time before we get a kid." Ughhhh! I just wanted to surprise her for her birthday not be a total mess. "Yea...but I baked you a cake for you." She looked at the cake and looked at me.
"I know you bought it but whatever, let's eat our feelings." She chuckles as I eat in shame. My phone rings, is it the guy??? I run to my phone and it Timmy....ugh.
"Hewo..." I said as I was chewing the cake.
"Hello. Say I said Happy Birthday to Steph. I couldn't make it for the brunch, sorry." Awww why does this have to happen to me! First Steph frowns on having children and then Timmy isn't making it to her birthday party.
"It's okay..."
"Zoe it's ok, I'll make it up to you. But now I gotta go. Bye."
"Bye..." Not even cake can cheer me up. Stephanie hugs me from behind.
"Whats wrong?" I let go and sit down in the chair again.
"Timmy is not coming to your party since he is busy and you think that we aren't cut out for kids." I said sadly. I fidgeted with my fingers and Stephanie grabbed for my chin and turned it upward.
"I know I said that but now that I think about it, we're cut out for kids right now. Remember when we babysat Mrs.Kanny's kids and the girl ate soap, you rushed straight to the er. We are going to be great parents" I chuckle and wipe away my tears. My phone rings and we both look at each other. It's the guy! It was perfect timing. I answer the phone.
"Hello."
"We are outside."
"Ok I'll be there in a sec." I run down the stairs and see the kids. One with wavy light brown hair, hazel eyes, just like Stephanie's. I look at the boy, he has shaggy, messy brown hair and hazel eyes too. "Hi."
"Hi..." Dipper says shyly. Mabel comes up to me and hugs me.
"Hello I'm Mabel and I'm so happy that you adopted us." I could tell already that Mabel was the extrovert and Dipper will need some time to get used to his new home.
"Nice to meet you both." I say with a smile.
"Ok sign these papers and we are done." I look at the papers and sign them. "Ok bye." Dipper watches as the man walks to his car.
"Come on Dipper, it's our new home!" She says as she runs through the door. Dipper carries both of their suitcases.
"Can I help you?" He nods and I pick both of the suitcases, they are heavy. Maybe they packed a lot of clothes, I guess. "Mabel knock on 45th door."
"Okie dokie." She runs up the stairs and she spots 45 and knocks on the door. Stephanie answers and smiles. Dipper tagged along side me. I finally get to the door and Mabel grabs her suitcase. "Can we unpack our suitcases now?"
"Yes when I show you our room." I walk to the room on the left but Mabel beats me. She calls the bed on the right and Dipper sticks with the left.
"Ok now we can unpack." She unbuckled her suitcase and a pig pops up.
"Uh Mabel? Why was there a pig in your suitcase?!" Her pig runs around the apartment, we might get a noise complaint.
"Well Waddles wouldn't be too happy with our grandpa Stanford so I decided to take her here." I see Stephanie panicking in the corner. I walk towards her and kneel down.
"It's okay, I mean we could keep Waddles but we have to calm him down." I turn around and see Waddles chewing our fashion magazines.
"My magazines!" Stephanie said horrified. Oh my god she is such a spazz, it's just one magazine!
"Hey girl do you have anything for us to eat?"
"My name is Zoe and yes. Would you like pancakes?" Dipper read a book in the corner and Mabel was begging for food. "Hey Dipper would u like pancakes?" I called to him.
"Uhh sure whatever." He continued reading the book. Stephanie walks up to Dipper.
"Hey what are you reading?" he looks at her.
"I'm reading a mystery book-"
"Oh can I read with you?"
"Okay."
I make pancakes with Mabel, I've learned that she vegetarian, she wouldn't like to eat Waddles' cousin. She has flour on her cheek and I grab rag and wash it off.
"I love you Zoe." She hugs me. She said she loved me on the first day. I wrap myself around her too.
"I love you too." She unwraps her arms around me and flips the pancake. "Good job."
"Thanks." Dipper comes up to me and shows me the book. It has all these creatures.
"What are these things Dipper?"
"They are the monster of the unknown of our hometown."
"Yeah he isn't making it up but let's eat pancakes."
5 hours later
"Well we better get ready for your birthday party." Dipper hangs the decorations will the assistance of Stephanie.
"Zoe!" Mabel came running towards me.
"What?"
"There is a man in the window!" I run to their bedroom window and see nothing. Soon the doorbell rings. Oh yeah...Kian is coming and it was a surprise! Great! Stephanie reaches for the doorknob but I turn it and see Nicole. Why is she here?
"Uhhh why are you here? Sorry to seem rude but why?"
"I just wanted to surprise you with...." Timmy pops up and I hug him.
"I missed you!
"I did too." I walk Nicole to the couch, she supposed to have her baby in 1 week. I love babies! Timmy seems not so comfortable with Stephanie around. "Well this is Dipper and Mabel, our children."
"Hello Timmy." Dipper sits next to Timmy. I hear heavy breathing behind me.
"You okay?" Mabel says to Nicole. Next thing I know is that Nicole is screaming.
