"Hikaru, Hikaru wake up." I opened my eyes seeing Kaoru in front of me all dressed and his hair done.
"Wake up, we have a meeting to go to." My brother said and I sat up rubbing my head, standing up and getting ready to start the day.
Today was December seventeenth.
*~*~*
"As you can see, our latest winter designs selling like hot cakes! Now we can improve by-" Kaoru and I listened to our presenter, well Kaoru did. I dazzed off not really paying attention. Outside the window was snow. Snowflakes had started to fall, day's like this gave me mixed emotions.
"Well, that's just the ratings for this season, excellent work everybody." I clapped with everybody else and we continued on the meeting.
*~*~*
"Hikaru, are you okay, you weren't really with us back there." Kaoru said as we exited the building and walked down the sidewalk and stepped in the car.
"Huh, oh, yeah, I'm fine." My brother gave me a concerned knowing look.
"Hikaru I know your hurting, but you can't just bail out when we are trying to get ourselves into the business." Kaoru said softly.
"I know, but, I-" I sighed, a cloud of breath rose up and faded.
"I'm not here right now, just give me a few days and I'll be back to normal." I said, closing the car door and focused on the outside. We were quiet, nothing to be said.
"I miss her too you know." My brother said looking out the other window.
"Lets just go home." I said ending our conversation.
*~*~*
"Ah thank you for deciding to join us Ms. Mackerel." The teacher said irritated as Terra came in the classroom late.
"I-I'm sorry, the train was late." She apologized, walking over to her seat beside Haruhi and Hikaru.
"Just try not to be late again." The teacher said as she began her lesson.
"Are you okay?" Kaoru whispered over to Terra who looked exhausted and tired.
"Yeah, I didn't get much sleep." She whispered, then smiling at him. He gently smiled back at her.
"If you say so." He replied.
Once the lesson was over everyone turned their desks into a group of four. The twins, Terra, and Haruhi as one group group.
"Okay so what should our topic be for the report?" Haruhi asked.
"Well the book was about the dead, what about how we think we're going to die?" Hikaru said. Terra shook her head with Haruhi.
"Or, how about-"
"Maybe-"
The twins kept throwing idea after idea, Haruhi had some confusing ones that were vetoed. Terra kept to herself as she skimmed along the pages and though of her mother.
"I have one." She said looking up at her group.
"What is it?" Haruhi asked.
"What do we think the afterlife will be like?"
The trio looked at her then each other."Lets do it." Haruhi announced.
"Yay!" Terra cheered as her idea was picked.
*~*~*
"Thanks a lot." I said to the driver as Kaoru and I exited the car and walked over to the bosses house.
"Hikaru! Kaoru!" Tamaki shouted with a smile as he ran and hugged us both.
"Hey boss-"
"Sorry we're late."
"Nevermind that, you have to come in and try Haruhi's cooking!" He grinned happily.
"Hika-chan! Kao-chan!" Honey cheered. Mori knodded.
"Glad you were able to make it." Kyoya greeted while reading a book.
"Yeah, are you you both hungry?" Haruhi asked poking her head out the kitchen.
"Yes please!" They said together.
