The New Girl

Chapter 6

Brenda POV

"Brenda! Come help us get this junk out of the car!" I heard mama yell. I got up off the couch and walked to the car. Everyone else came with me.

"Good god, mama. Why did you get so much paint? Ya know what, that was a stupid question. Never mind." She laughed. She got like, two cans of purple paint, five cans of blue paint, three cans of green paint, and about ten cans of white paint. It took about five minutes to get the paint in the house. Then, we had to get the box of letters mama bought, the my bottles of paint and everything else she bought.

"Sam, why are you wet, and why do you have pa's clothes on?" Mama asked.

"Uh, he fell in the ditch earlier. Puck was messing with him and pushed him." I said. I didn't tell her about Samantha. "And he didn't have any dry clothes with him so I let him wear some of Pa's clothes." 

 "Oh, okay. I just hope you don't get sick because of him." She said and patted Sam on the shoulder, then she whacked Puck on the side of the head. I laughed.

"Brenda, you were right, Sam is pretty handsome." Mama whispered in my ear. I blushed.

"I know."

"Okay, lets get to work. Our goal today is to get the living room done so we can put the furniture in. It's goin' to be green. Stacy, Stevie, you two like to paint right?"

"Yes ma'am!"

"Okay, well, I have those letters that you can paint. Brenda will tell you what colors she wants you to paint on them." They nodded and started bouncing slightly. They were grinning from ear to ear.

"Okay, you can paint the letters in the kitchen." They nodded and went into the kitchen after I told them what colors I wanted. We moved the couch into the middle of the room and began painting. Mama, Sam, Finn, Rachel and I were on one wall, and the others were on the other three walls. After we had two of them completely painted, mama's phone rang. She answered it and walked into the kitchen.

"Hello," I heard her say. I waited a few seconds and she said, 

"Really? When?" 

"Tomorrow? Okay, that's great news! I can't wait to see you!"

"Okay, love you bye!" Mama came back in smiling wider then ever.

"Kevin is coming home tomorrow!" She said and hugged me.

"Really?" She nodded.

"When?"

"At five, he will be here when you get home from school."

"Yay! Hey, where's Pa?"

"Oh, he had to go to work."Mama said as she started painting.

"Oh, kay."

TIME SKIP

"Okay, I think we have pretty much covered the whole living room in paint, including Sam." Maama said. Sam grinned cheekily. He had accidentally flicked paint at puck and Puck took his paint brush and smacked Sam with it. Now,it was all over his face. "We can take a break now. I'ma order pizza. Does anyone not like meat on it?" Rachel, Quinn, Sam and I raised our hands. "Okay, so I'm going to order two cheese, knowing Brenda she'll eat a whole pizza." I grinned proudly. "I'ma order two pepperoni, two sausage and two vegetables." Mama said and walked up stair to get money and find the number. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 7:30.

"Dang it's already 7:30!"I exclaimed. Some of them nodded.

"Since we don't know each other very well, why don't you tell us some things about yourself and we'll tell you some things about us." Rachel suggested.
