Next came 8th grade. I would like to say that after all that time I stopped thinking about him completely. However, that's not the case. I was texting Stephanie one day, before school started.
Me: so.. If I were to tell u something, could u promise not to tell anyone?
Stephanie: sure
Me: I still like Brandon.
Stephanie: no way! I could totally hook u up
Me: he doesn't like me anymore
Stephanie: you should invite him to the amusement park on Saturday.
Me: really? Do u think he would do it?
Stephanie: maybe just call me
Me: ok
I called him several times but no answer. I texted him too, still no answer. I gave up and just figured he didn't want to talk. Until a few minutes later when I got a text.
Jake: hey did u call?
Me: yeah... Uhm... Stephanie wanted to know if u wanted to come with us to the amusement park on Saturday.
Jake: oh I can't I have a tennis match but thanks anyways I gtg I'm at practice.
Me: it's ok bye.

In October, Tori invited me to her beach themed bat mitzvah. I went shopping with my mom to go get a dress. I would like to say that I chose it completely upon my own liking but truth be told it was totally because I was hoping Jake would be there. I went with bad intentions, to let Jake see what he's missing out on. However that was completely one sided. I ended up missing what I was regretting.
The dress I was wearing was a strapless skater dress. There was a black and geometric print on the layered bottom that ended at about my knees. The top was a black sweetheart neckline. I did my hair in tight curls with a black smokey eye and dark liner on my eyes. I wore my converse and arrived to the party at 8:00 pm. I walked up to the huge temple doors and opened them to find myself in the lobby. The there were gold and white tiles all of the floor and a wide open room straight ahead blasting music. I figured that's where the party was and walked over to the entrance. I saw Tori standing outside the dance floor near some nicely placed white tables.
She was wearing a blue-ish silver dress that went to net knees. It was bunched at the top with spaghetti straps and her hair was crimped. I walked up to her and greeted her with a hug while looking over her shoulder for Jake. I didn't see him anywhere and figured he wasn't here yet. 15 minutes later, people started piling in and the DJ started blasting music again. Some new friends from Explore Chart School were there. A 7th grader named Carly, a 7th grader named Ana, and 7th grader named Makenzie. Stephanie and Tracy were there also. Makenzie, Carly, Tracy, Ana, Stephanie, Tori, and I all danced in a circle on the dance floor. The DJ started blasting "Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift and I was all for this song. I went all out. Dancing, body rolling, and dropping along with the other girls. I spotted Jake sitting down to my left at a table with a guy a didn't recognize. I looked over at him and made eye contact. I slipped a sly smile at him and continued dancing.
His eyebrows raised, noticing his reaction he looked away and nervously laughed with his friend. Tracy and I decided to step outside for some fresh air. Not even a minute of stepping out of those temple doors, Jake's friend approached us.
"Oooo are you Jakes girly friend?" He asked smiling and laughing.
"Uh no," I said confused.
"Wait.... You look like a girl who once gave me a blow job," he said, standing in front of me blocking my way to the temple doors.
"Ew no!" I exclaimed.
"Who are you?!" Tracy asked.
"I'm Jakes bestie! Jason," he replied with a menacing smile.

after the bat mitzvah Stephanie and I slept over at Tracy's house. Stephanie had convinced me to text Jake and ask him about earlier that night. You see he had been, what it had seemed to be, avoiding me. I could tell by how he'd walk away or talk to another girl right in front of me. Here's how are convo went:
12:55 am
(He surprisingly texted me first)
555-3453: hey sorry about Jason earlier he's a little weird.
-I had forgotten that I deleted his number a long time ago-
Me: oh it's all good. He's kind of creepy.
Jake: yeah I know, I'll tell him to back off.
Me (wanting to keep the conversation going): did he tell u about our interesting conversation?
Jake: no what was it?
Me: *i told him about everything he had said with every detail*
Jake: oh wow ew I'm sorry. Well I'm getting tired I'll text u later night
Me: night :)
........he never texted me back.........
