Souji walked back into the main room after his turn and immediately walked up to Saitou.  “Hey Saitou, are you up for going next?

Glaring back at him, Saitou shook his head. “I'd rather not.”

Ignoring what he'd said, Souji have him a slap on the back and then quickly tried to push him onto his feet. “Awesome, then let's get you started. I bet a lot of the girls here are just dying to get a turn with the serious, silent type.”

Though he was annoyed, Saitou simply stood up and did as he was asked. He looked over the group of girls, showing very little interest. Unsure what the best way to pick a player was, he drew his sword from its hilt and sliced it only inches from their faces. He moved so quickly, there was only one girl who'd even had the reflexes to notice he'd done anything at all. “You.”

Other than his direct eye contact, which really should have been enough, he gave no indication who “You” was. But, since no one else was moving, you decided to follow him. The door was closed by Souji as soon as you were past its threshold. “You were talking to me right?”

Saitou nodded. “Yes. Have a seat.”

“You aren't going to pull your sword out again are you? I really thought you were about to slice our heads off just so you didn't have to play the game.” Laughing nervously, due to his intense gaze, you thought it might be better to stop asking questions and just sit down. “A-anyway, it was really nice of you to pick me.”

His gaze softened, just slightly as you sat down. “I'm surprised you were even able to see what I did. Most can't.” He didn't really sound like he was complimenting you. Actually it sounded more like he was trying to interrogate you.

“Oh, well you were really fast. I guess I was just paying better attention than the others were. Come to think of it, most of them were busy gossiping and laughing. ” The suspicious look he was giving you made it unbelievably hard for you not to laugh. Covering your mouth to hide your growing grin, you cleared your throat and tried to reclaim you calm expression. “Why are you looking at me that way? Surely you don't think ill of me. For a mighty warrior, you really are too suspicious.”

After a few more seconds of staring, he relaxed and slowly shook his head. “No, I don't think ill of you. I must have been slower than usual.”

“Well now I see what the problem is. You weren't worried about me being a spy or being dangerous, you're upset because I was able to see your blade. I've offended you.” Knowing full well it was a bad idea, you edged closer to him and slowly started to smirk. “You're upset, because I hurt your pride.”

Saitou smiled. “On the contrary, I was impressed with your skills. I'm not upset at all either. I was simply trying to imagine you in a man's garb.”

“W-why in the world would you do that?” Your cheeks burned a deep, burning red. “You shouldn't be imagining me in anything other than what I'm currently wearing. And really, a man's garb? Why out of all the different articles of clothing would you choose that?” Fear gripped you. “Y-you don't think I look like a man, do you? Is that why you haven't even tried to kiss me yet?”

Closing his eyes, Saitou once again shook his head. “I don't remember saying any of that. As a matter of fact, I don't remember saying much at all.”

Suddenly feeling sheepish, you dropped your eyes to the ground and blushed even worse than before. “You're right, you didn't say much. But, what you did say was weird. And you didn't try to kiss or even touch me. So, I just thought...”

Smiling as if he'd accomplished exactly what he'd set out to do, Saitou stood to his feet and readied to leave you. “You thought wrong. If your reflexes really are as good as they seem, you could prove valuable. However, since women aren't allowed here, you would have to dress as a man if you wanted to help.” His grin grew. “I was actually paying you a compliment." Slowly sliding the door open, he looked back at you and tilted his head. "Tell me again, who is it that's overly suspicious and easily offended?”
