    “Man, this game went down hill fast didn't it? First, there was that kidnapping, and then someone ran away. I'm starting to think you all might be right.” Souji grinned sarcastically. “Just kidding. Shinpachi get up here and play before you overdo it with the sake, again.”

Shinpachi stood to his feet, already looking like he might have had just a little too much. The fact that he was drunk became completely obvious when he tried to walk. “Man, they're all so pretty. I wish I could take all of them with me.” Knowing he couldn't do that even in his current state, he attempted to choose a partner. “You in the back, I choose you.”

Though you were a little hesitant to be alone with him, you were willing to give it a try. You stood to your feet and carefully walked over to him. “I really hope you aren't as drunk as you seem to be. Otherwise, this game really isn't going to be very enjoyable at all.”

“Wow, you're even prettier close up like this.” He hadn't heard a word you said. He was too busy gawking at you like some sort of idiot. 

Normally the compliment would have made you blush, but coming from someone in his state, it just made you sigh. “Stop looking at me like that, you're embarrassing yourself.” You grasped onto his elbow with a firm hand and pulled him into the orderly, spacious closet. “You really shouldn't allow yourself to become so intoxicated, it isn't healthy.”

Shinpachi laughed. “If you think this is bad, you should see me after a fight.” He crawled from where he was sitting and sat down next to you. Without asking your permission, or even stopping to think if you'd mind being touched by him, he wrapped his arm around your shoulder and snuggled you into his chest. “Wow, you smell really nice.”

You had smelt nice when you left your home, but after the rather long walk and being smothered into his alcohol scented chest, you highly doubted you smelled as fragrant as you had before. Trying not to become annoyed or aggravated by his demeanor, you allowed him to continue holding you. “Apparently someone else paid that same compliment to another one of the girls. That wouldn't have been you, would it?”

“No.” He shook his head, then dropped his face into your shoulder. “At least I don't think so.”

“Then you soldiers really do need to get out more. It seems you only have two or three different flatteries up your sleeves.” His new position was taking it just a little far. Not only was it embarrassing to have his face nuzzled into your neck, his hot breath was somehow finding its way all the way down the front of your dress. “Would you mind not doing that please? It tickles.”

“Huh? Oh, it does, does it? Man, that's just too bad.” You weren't sure how he managed to move so quickly, but before you'd blinked, he was sitting behind you with his arms wrapped around your waist. What was worse, he was now actually nibbling at your neck. “Is this any better.”

“No, it's definitely not any better.” Now blushing from head to toe, you decided this turn had gone on long enough. When you tried to stand up however, his arms kept you in place. 

Shinpachi seemed sad that you wanted to leave. “You're not leaving me already, are you? Can't you handle just seven minutes with me?”

You took in a deep breath and sighed. “I''m sure if you were actually yourself, and not some drunken replacement I could last much longer than seven minutes with you. Unfortunately, you don't seem to understand boundaries.”

“Man, you're pretty, but you sure are up tight aren't you?” Finally releasing you, Shinpachi fell back to the floor and groaned. “I should have let you have a couple of drinks before playing, then this really would have been a good time.” 

Your blushed vanished and was replaced with anger. “And just what exactly do you mean by that?” Souji slid opened the door and also waited for a response. 

Had his mind been working properly, Shinpachi could have gotten himself out of this. His mind however, was hazy and rather slow, causing him to fall deeper into the hole he'd begun to dig for himself. He answered your question without giving it a second thought. “I didn't mean anything by it. I'm just saying that you're really boring.”

Souji chuckled quietly as he helped you stand back up. “And that, Shinpachi, is why you never get anywhere with the ladies. Congratulations, you've lost another one."
