Third Person

2 weeks later...

Lottie was eating pancakes in the living room, watching Nikita on TV (A/N: See what I did there? xD If you don't, go see my other story :P )

The boys were just eating and talking in the kitchen.

"Come on, Nikita, kick her ass!!", Lottie encouraged the fictional character on TV.

"NO!", she exclaimed as the character fell, a gun pointed at her head with a dramatic music.

Then, the screen went black.

Lottie sighed, annoyed, as an add appeared: "Always when she's about to get killed that a fucking publicity appears to piss me off with a suspense!"

She flicked to another channel, and another, and another, by waiting for an interesting channel to come.

That's when she fell on the news.

Thee anchorwoman was talking: "Last news: a building caught fire."

"BOYS!!!"

The boys rushed to her.

"The firemen are trying as best as possible to fight it, but somehow, more buildings are caughting fire as well... we are afraid, despite their work, that some people won't make it in time. Let's hope for the best..."

Lottie looked: "Guys... it's your chance. Those people need you!"

***

Flames. Flames everywhere.

That's all the little Beca was seeing.

She was coughing as she tried to clear her way through the smoke, trying to stay up: "Ella! ELLA!!", she screamed her babysitter's name, hugging her teddy bear.

She looked around her burning appartment: her mother was gone to visit a friend for an hour, leaving her alone with a babysitter.

Beca was coughing loudly.

"SOMEBODY, HELP ME!!!", she screamed as she saw the knocked-out body of the baby-sitter.

That's when she saw a silver lining: the balcony door.

She tried to open it, but she screamed in pain, because the handle was melting and was burning hot.

Her tiny palm was red with dark marks.

She used a strategy: she took a baseball that was near her and threw it on the glass of one of the windows, making it shatter, and kicked the rest of the glass shards away. She crawled out and went outside, feeling the heat behind her.

She looked down the balcony, to see panicked witnesses, the news and firemen. From the 8th floor of her building, it was high, and she was having vertigo.

"HELP ME!!!", she screamed.

Firemen saw her and entered the building, trying to reach her the quickest possible.

Beca was breathing heavily. She didn't dare to look back, because in class, they teached her during a fire that you must NEVER go back in your burning house OR look at a fire, because it could blind you.

A fireman in his truck ladder was getting up to reach her: "DON'T WORRY, I'LL GET YOU, JUST DON'T MOVE!!"

"BECA!!"

Beca looked down, to see her mother screaming loud enough for the other side of the town to hear.

"IT'S MY DAUGHTER!!! IT'S MY DAUGHTER!! STAY CALM, HONEY, THE FIREMAN IS GONNA HELP YOU!!", her mother screamed.
