We were in the car right now and Ashton was driving pretty fast. His grip on the steering wheel tightens as he looks at the road. "You know, you can always drive smoothly and slowly," I said looking at him. He took a quick glance at me, then his eyes travel back to the road. He shrugged his shoulders.

"There's no point in driving slowly when someone wants to meet up with you."

I shook my head and rub my hands together to get rid of the sweat. I look at Ashton again who was clenching his jaw. Ashton is a sweet loving man but the only reason why he's like this is because of his life. It's not as perfect as people thought it was. There's something more to him than meets the eye. If I was I his shoes I'd go crazy with my father too and I'd be sad knowing that my mother was saying I was adopted and a mistake. It's hard for Ashton and I'm gonna try my best to feel sympathy and care for him.

"God, this is gonna be so fucking scary for you," Ashton says bringing me back to reality.

I raised my eyebrow at him and shook my head. "I think I can handle it," I said smiling a bit.

Ashton slowed down a bit making me look out the window. There was no light and it was pretty dark outside. He parked his car and I presume we made it to our destination. We both got out of the car and slammed the door shut. I looked at the dark alleyway making goosebumps go up and down my spine.

"I told you it'd make you scared." Ashton soon says as he looks at me smiling smugly.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. "Let's get this over with." Ashton sternly says and walks into the alleyway.

I trail behind him and try to use his back for protecting myself. We kept walking until Ashton stopped dead in his tracks making me stop. I peeked my head out to look at why he had stopped.

"We meet again." A dark shadow says.

To me, it looks like a shadow person. But the shadow starts to move into a light and it was a person. The only person which was Ryder. Ashton crossed his arms over his chest.

"It appears we did." Ashton's voice was deep and low but Ryder's was a little high.

"And who might this be?" Ryder says looking at me smirking nastily.

My eyes widen and I kind of let out a squeak. Ashton looked behind him seeing me. He frowned at me and then looked back at Ryder. "She's my wife." He said putting on a fake smile.

Ryder, tsked. "Ah, lying aren't we?" He smirked at him and Ashton mumbled something under his breath.

"Listen, why did you want me to come here in the first place?" He said crossing his arms over my chest.

Ryder shrugged his shoulder and gave an evil grin.

I would look back at Ashton and Ryder.

"Well, You know I want your place." Ryder evil cackled and Aston frowned.

"Yeah, that's not gonna happen!" Ashton said as he saw Ryder who was reaching for a gun in his side of the pants.

Ashton immediately blew a whistle.

The whistle was a signal for the bodyguards, security, and all those people to come in and get Ryder. But there was no sound. No bodyguards. No security. No help.

Ashton looked even more confused than I was. We looked around us to see if they would come in and capture Ryder but no sign.

"Where are they?" Ashton said looking down at me.

I shrug my shoulders. "The bodyguards and security-"

"I killed them." Ryder chimes in looking at the both of us.
