Lyn walked across the dark gray stones, the milky dawn light reflecting on her creamy silver pelt. Her amber eyes reflected the rising sun, and her slightly short pelt blew in the morning breeze. She looked towards the sky, and realized the sun slowly growing higher and higher. They can't find out I was gone, she thought. She was known as the 'goody four-paws' of her family. She only lived with her 4 siblings, three sisters and one brother. She raced towards the big den her family lived in. She ran through the vines into her nest, and pretended to sleep for a few moments before she 'woke up.' She ran through the second set of vines into the main part of the den. She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding as she saw all her 3 sisters gathered around separate pieces of prey. They had woken up while she was pretending to be asleep. Well, that's what she thought. She ran into the den too fast to hear, or even see her surroundings. Her younger sister Paige bounced up to her, breaking the silence as she squeaked out, "Lyn! You're finally awake!" Lyn smiled at the small she-cat. She had so much to live for. Her oldest sister, Veronica, looked at the tiny she-cat in front of Lyn. She sighed. "We've only been awake for a few moments, Paige." She laughed gently at the end of her sentence. Veronica walked with her other sister, Noa, to the side of the wall. The little pale yellow cat was still at her paws. "Can me and Veronica go outside?" Her squeaky voice asked. Lyn looked at the brown she-cat who was talking to Noa from across the den. "Go ask her. She's the oldest." Lyn meowed, returning her gaze to her younger sister and breaking a soft smile at her. "Okay!" Paige meowed, running back to her older sister. A dark brown face with golden brown eyes peeked it's head through the vines. Lyn recognized this face as her brother, Ezra's. Poor him. He had to to be stuck with 4 she-cats. Lyn rolled her eyes playfully. "Took you long enough," She meowed under her breath, and smiled in amusement. Ezra flicked his ear and gave her a slight smile. She looked at the den entrance where Veronica and Paige were heading out. She looked towards Ezra, who was eating a rabbit. The creamy silver she-cat arched her back in a stretch before saying, "I'm going to have a nap." Her older brother nodded and she walked over to her nest. She curled up and fell into a dreamless slumber.
"W-wake up! Lyn! Wake up!" She heard her brothers frantic voice and his paw shaking her awake. "Hmm? What is it?" Lyn asked while getting up and stretching. "Just come outside." He meowed, panic showing in his gaze. Lyn walked out of the den following Ezra. She stopped in her tracks as she saw what he was talking about. Two of her sisters on the ground dead, pools of blood surrounding their limp bodies. She froze in place for what seemed like decades, or even centuries. She felt a soft tail on her shoulder and a paw on hers. She recognized the ginger fur of her now only sister, Noa. "It's going to be okay." But even though her sister sounded fine, Lyn could tell by her eyes that she was broken. They all were.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter! I'll post longer ones in the future. This wasn't that interesting, but the next chapter(or the one after that) will be more interesting. Hope you like it so far!
