This is going to be a short chapter
The next day, Lyn got up at the crack of dawn. She walked over to her brother and poked him with her paw, causing him to lift his head up and blink rapidly. "What do you want?" He asked sleepily. "I'm just letting you know I'll be outside!" After those words, she ran outside, not waiting for an answer. She ran to the place she promised to meet Sophia, and after seeing she wasn't there, she hid in some bushes behind a tree.
-Timeskip to 49 minutes later-
Lyn stayed crouched in the bushes, looking for the bright orange pelt of her friend. And then she saw it. The orange cat who sat down and looked around, then looking disappointed. Lyn smiled and jumped out of her hiding spot playfully tackling Sophia to the ground. Sophia looked scared at first, but after recognizing the pelt of her friend she laughed(because cats can do that now.. not actually) and shoved Lyn off of her playfully. "I thought you weren't coming!" Sophia exclaimed. Lyn shook her head. "I waited in those bushes since the crack of dawn so I could surprise you." Sophia looked at her with a 'really?' face, but laughed after. Lyn sighed happily, looking at the sky. Sophia looked at her. "What's wrong?" She asked. Lyn looked back at her. "Nothing. This is practically the first time I've been happy since my sisters died." Sophia smiled at that. "Well I'm happy too... we should make this our meeting place." Lyn looked at her. "What do you mean?" She asked. "We should meet here everyday at dawn. We can be here together every day, with no-one knowing where we are. Like a meeting place. It can be our secret, and only we can know." Lyn smiled at her. "I would like that." Sophia smiled bigger. "Me too."Word count: 317 words
