Chapter 9

I pondered down the halls with thoughts in my mind. It's been a quiet day here due to Diamond not coming to school and me not talking to August. However Alec wanted me to meet him in the gymnasium.

I walked upon two doors that led to it. I opened it up and walked inside. Alec stood there with a angry look on his face.

"I'm here." I muttered while walking up to him.

He didn't move nor speak. Only stand there gazing into my eyes.

"Where were you yesterday?" He asked.

I gave him a frown while thinking of where I was.

"I was home." I muttered while folding my arms.

"No the fuck You wasn't!" He hissed while gripping onto my arm.

"Let go!" I screamed while trying to yank my arm away.

"You was with him ain't it?!" He hissed.

Tears formed in my eyes as I thought about August and him kicking me out.

"No!!" I yelled while yanking away.

He looked at me with complete anger. My heart beat sped up instantly.

"Why you lying? You know ion like that shit." He fussed.

"I'm not lying."I growled.

He smirked while nodding in agreement.

"Since you don't wanna tell me where you was, imma harm the person I know you was with." He smirked.

"You wouldn't dare." I exclaimed.

"Bet." He muttered while walking out.

August POV:

I haven't seen Harmony all day. She isn't in 5th period which is strange. I gazed around the class suspecting Alec wouldn't be in here either. And he wasn't.

After a while of waiting the classroom door opened revealing Harmony. She whispered to the teacher then came and sat beside me.

Ever sense I kicked her out we haven't spoke to eachother. I hated to not hold onto her tightly and show her the love she deserves. But I'm only doing it for her safety.

"Hey.." I whispered.

She payed no attention to me.

I looked at her face noticing a small bruise. Like a punch or as if she was hit with something.

"What's that on your face?" I reached towards it but she moved my hand.

I looked deeply into her eyes noticing the hurt in them. She has been through so much and it's only been 2 months.

"Don't worry about it." She muttered while letting go of her grip. She turned the other way slightly, and I watched her do it. Someone hitted her. It had to be Alec. I'm tired of this son of a bitch.

Harmony POV:

I'm tired of him worrying about me. It's not like he cares. He only talks to me because of what happened with Diamond.

I looked down at my hand seeing the scars Alec made on them. They wasn't large but surely was noticeable.

My mind drifted all thinking about diamond and why she wasn't a school. She usually comes everyday so this is rarely strange.

School ended and I drove to work where I saw diamond car outside.

"Well she isn't sick." I mumbled then headed inside.

As I walked in costumers stood in line waiting to order. I clocked in then went over to the cash register and took their orders.

"Have a nice day." I smiled while waving to a little girl and her mother as they walked out.

One more hour and I'm out of this hell hole. I turned around hoping to see Diamond. Luckily she was cooking.

"Hey why wasn't you at school?" I spoke up.

"Just over slept.." She mumbled. 

I noticed she had a few hickeys on her neck possibly from some guy.  When her and Tristian was dating he never kissed up on her. They broke up a few weeks before she got with August.

"Oh, Alright." I said while turning back around. 

"Can I have a Big Mac?" Some guy asked with a hoody on his head. 

Due to him wearing it, I couldn't really see his face.

"Sure. That will be $4.56."

He nodded and went into his pocket and grabbed some money. He handed it to me then went and sat down.

I walked over to a nearby chair and sat down. I kept a good eye on the guy with the hoodie. He seemed suspicious and he gave me a bad vibe.

Diamond walked over and gave me his order and I got up and walked to the counter.

"Sit here is-" before I knew it he was holding a gun up to my head.

"Shut the fuck up." He yelled.
"Now where your bitch ass boyfriend at?" He hissed.

"Who alec?" I questioned with fear.

"Yeah, Where his ass at?" He said.

"I don't know..." I said while stuttering.

"Next time you see him tell him somebody looking for him ight!" He hissed one more.

"Yes.." I muttered.

He moved the gun and snatched his food and ran out. My heart beat slowed down as I watched him exit.

"Harmony are you alright?" Diamond asked while walking up beside me.

"I'm fine.." I muttered with tears growing in my eyes.

"Harmony, I'm so sorry your going through this shit." She frowned.

A single tear drop fell down my face. I looked up to the clock to see it was my clock out time.

"Imma go." I muttered while grabbing my things and heading out.

I sat in my front yard for a few minutes. I needed alittle bit of thinking time. My mom was home tonight so I was hesitating to go inside so she could see the bruises I had.

I couldn't go to diamond house due to us not on good terms and I surely couldn't go to Monica's cause she was spending the night with some friends. So I called the only one in mind.
