Three years, 4 months and 27 days.

Akicha stood in a motel bathroom, quietly looking in the mirror back at herself.

Her right eye twitched and she looked down.

Next to her on the counter was a small pistole. The gun was completely made out of gold with her name etched in the side.

She slowly picked up the weapon in her left hand and brought it to her head. She pulled the trigger. “Bang…” she whispered to herself.

No bullet came out. The gun was not loaded.

She walked over to the bathtub and pulled a red dinner dress out of it.

Akicha pulled off her undershirt and shorts slowly. She slipped the dress over her head and looked back in the mirror.

She snapped her fingers and her face covered itself beautifully in makeup.

She shoved the gun down her dress next to her bosom and sighed.

Akicha cracked her neck and stretched out her back. Then she checked herself in the mirror one more time and smiled shyly.

“Jason would have liked this.” Her smile faded and she turned to the bathroom door and opened it.

She walked out into her motel room and looked over to her bed to see a half naked man fast asleep.

She nodded quickly. “Almost forgot.” Akicha grabbed a pillow off the bed next to the gentlemen and put it over his face. She pushed down hard.

At first the man didn't seem to move. Then all at once he started gasping for air that he could not achieve.

Akicha heard his muffled screams and closed her eyes.

She whistled a song she knew by heart. The song Jason had written for her so many years ago.

The man slowly stopped struggling until he went stiff.

She sighed and removed the pillow from his face. She kissed the corps then turned around to her purse sitting on the desk next to her. She brought it to her nose and sniffed it. “Ah, real leather.” She hugged it to her for a moment and then put it over her shoulder.

She walked around the bed to the motel door and looked back to the body. “You’re finally free. Enjoy the afterlife. Don't do what I did.” She turned back to the door and turned the handle.

She walked outside and shut the motel room entrance.

A car honked behind her.

Akicha spun around quickly and smiled at it. She waved. She walked off the the motel porch and into the gravel parking lot to the car. She opened the car door and got in.

“Hey little lady! Nice to finally meet you!” The young man behind the wheel said. “You ready for our first date?”

Akicha smiled. “Of course Henry, and maybe if things go right, you might get to come back to my place.” She shrugged.

“Ooh! I like the sound of that!” Henry smiled and reversed the car. He pulled out of the parking lot out to the street and began to drive away from the motel.

It was 10 pm in the middle of a storm.

Akicha waited quietly. Waited for the best opportunity.

About a mile into the drive she looked out the window.

“So that's why I'm not allowed at Applebees anymore.” Henry laughed.

Akicha had completely drowned him out by this point. She pulled the gun out of her dress slowly.

Henry hadn't noticed yet. He was to focused on the road.

“You ever thought about dying Henry?” She looked down at the gun.

Henry looked confused. “I mean, I guess once or twice. Why do you ask?”

“It’s horrible Henry. Especially when it’s forced. But it's quick then it’s over.” Akicha’s right eye twitches again.

“What… what are you talking about?” Henry chuckled uncomfortably.

“Don't worry Henry, it only hurts for a second. Then you'll be free. Free from this Hell.” She put the gun to his head. “You'll have your own personal Heaven in no time.”

“Akicha, please. I don't want to die.” He began to hyperventilate.

“Neither did I. But honestly, it was for the best.” She pulled the trigger and the the car slid to the side and flew off the road.

It smashed into the ground over and over again until it was barely recognisable as a car.

The vehicle was found the next day with Henry’s body in it only. No sign of a bullet.

Just Henry and his car.

There was a note on the automobile next to Henry. “To anyone of interest. See you in Hell.”
