An Intense Gilmore-Hayden Christmas

Part 2

Emily rushes to her phone and scrolls through her contacts until she finds Francine Hayden's number. Emily's smile is so big that it could challenge the Cheshire cat.

Emily calls Francine:

F- Hello?

E- Good Evening Francine, this is Emily.

F- Oh, good evening Emily, how are you?

E- I'm doing very well. I have called for a very important reason.

F- Oh?

E- Yes, Rory is staying with us this week for a press conference, to write a story about the young heir of HPG. Now, I got thinking. We could get these two together and have the three important families of society stand together. I'm going to call Shira, but I wanted to run the idea by you first.

F- Oh that's wonderful that Rory finally got to write a piece! And I totally agree with you. Plus Rory is almost 25 so she can claim her title as a Hayden now. A double-heiress marrying a powerful heir. Who would of thought that would be Rory.

E- I know! I know! I'll call Shira now. How does lunch Saturday at noon sound?

F- Sounds good. And we can have it over here at my mansion. Good bye Emily.

E- Alright, Good bye Francine.

Emily calls Shira:

S- Hello?

E- Hello, Shira. How are you? And how's Mitchum doing?

S- Hello, Emily. I'm well and Mitchum is better than yesterday. How are you?

E- That's good. I'm doing well, thank you. I talked with Francine Hayden and Richard about my granddaughter Rory who is writing a piece on your son as there is a press conference in two days time. But we thought what a splendid time to get them together and unite us three important families. What do you think?

S- Oh, well. I would have to talk with Mitchum, but he shouldn't have any stress so I guess I can't tell him. But I could run it by Elias.

E- Oh, that would be wonderful. We just thought that since Rory is turning 25 soon. She is to claim her rightful title in society as the double-heiress.

S- Oh, yes! That's wonderful! If Logan and Rory got together maybe he will finally accept his responsibilities.

E- Yes indeed. Well, would you like to join me and Francine for lunch at noon at the Hayden Mansion?

S- That would be lovely. See you Saturday. Good bye Emily.

E- Good bye Shira.

Emily ended the call smiling with glee and then went to bed, Rory was already asleep in the pool house getting enough sleep for her work tomorrow on getting ready for the press conference.

Earlier In the Huntzburger household...

Shira just got back home from her spa visit. She enters the living room to see Elias, Honor, and Honor's husband Josh, along with their two children Abigail and Jason. They were all enjoying a conversation when the phone rang. No one looked up, so she went to answer it.

It was Emily. They talked abd talked, once the call ended Shira went to the living room grabbing a martini.

"What's wrong mom?" Honor asks.

"Nothing's wrong dear. I just think I may have just found the most perfect girl for your brother to marry." Shira says with a smirk. Everyone looks at her confused. Shria then tells them all what Emily told her. They all agreed but Honor snuck away to call Logan and give him a warning.
