The Desire for Satisfaction

I always longed for peace.
Not knowing Everything wasn't meant to be.
I smiled only when I had tears,
Alone and lost all my cheer.
Fighting and failing over and over,
Forgetting I deserved better.

She smiled and ignored me.
Embracing the past as it was my destiny.
Pushing, forcing me to quit,
Losing myself in just a tick
Isolating myself out of passion.
Blinded to the ones that show affection

Now the only thing missing,
The thing we're desiring.
The only way to feel at peace,
Finding your true self in the deep.
This thing we call the foundation.
The shameless desire for satisfaction.
