"Guys! Guess what!" I asked, with a huge smile across my face.
"What?" They all asked.
"I'm going over Kinsley's house!" I smiled even more, which wasn't even possible.
"Calm down girl." Maria said, laughing.
"Hey, leave him alone! He can't help that he's madly in love with a girl he can't get with." Arlene was being sincere, but then ruined it. I gave her a look as she started laughing.
"But seriously, what happened when she came over?" She asked me.
"Um," I started blushing immediately. "She came over, I asked her if she was okay, then I took her somewhere, and then she kissed my cheek when she left." I trailed off, not making eye contact with anyone.
"Awwww." They all gushed as they squished and pulled at my cheeks.
"Okay okay! Stop!" I slapped their hands away. I'm not trying to get embarrassed up in here, and have Kinsley see this.
"Oh gosh." Arlene muttered under her breath as she looked away from something or someone.
"What?" I turned my head to see what she was looking at. And it so happened to be the amazing and wonderful dude I know, aka; Jasper.
I turned back around freaked out. "Oh my god! What do I do?! What do I say?! Is he coming this way?" I frantically asked them questions trying to know what was happening behind me.
"First of all do you like Jasper or Kinsley?" Arlene asked in a weird tone.
"Uh Kinsley, duh." I gave her a 'wtf' look. Like why would she ask me that?
"I mean just making sure by the way you asked those questions." She shrugged, while Gray and Maria were giggling. I pursed my lips at them.
I looked over to my left, just as Jasper and I made eye contact. I was sort of nervous if he was going to come over here and beat the shit out of me, while my friends run away. But surprisingly, he kept walking forward. I felt a huge amount of relief wash over me.
"That's new." Arlene said, sort of confused. I squinted one eyebrow and raised the other one,"So you want me to get beat up by Jasper and his teammates?"
"I mean..."She trailed off, I gave her a shocked look as I put my hand over my chest.
"I'm hurt."
"I'm just kidding." She started to laugh, I joined in as well as we started to walk to our last class of the day.
-At Kinsley's house
"So, this is my house, nothing interesting here." She laughed, once we walked through her front door.
"I like it, it feels roomy." I complimented, at least I think. She gave me a small tour of the house and then ended with showing me her bedroom. Her room was nice and simple. She had a black comforter, a night stand, a desk on one side of the room, and just a bunch of other stuff.
I soon heard little paws run upstairs and enter Kinsley's room.
"You have a dog?!" I basically screamed running over to the puppy. I was more excited than a kid waking up on Christmas Day.
The dog had a pastel pink collar on, her fur was black, brown, and gray. She was so tiny and so cute.
Kinsley laughed at my excitement from seeing her dog.
"What's her name?" I asked, while petting her. The puppy not Kinsley, just to clear that up.
"Her name is Andie, she's an Australian Shepherd, and I'm guessing you don't have a dog." She said, while sitting on the floor by me.
"No, Grayson's allergic to dogs." I replied, while holding Andie in my lap.
"Do you mind if I take a picture of her?" I asked, heat rushing to my cheeks.
"Yea, sure! I don't mind." She smiled. I got my phone out and recorded Andie playing with my hand, then at last minute I put the camera on Kinsley. She smiled in a funny way, as I laughed at her cuteness. I posted the snap and saved it to my memories, even though I don't save anything at all.
After watching the dog run around and do funny things I thought about whether or not I should tell Kinsley my feelings for her. I mean if worse comes to worse I can always move to Australia and change my name to Peter.
"So, how do you think we did on the powerpoint?" She asked me, breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, um I think we did pretty good, right?" I asked.
"Maybe she put the grades in already." Her thumbs tapped away on the phone screen, seeing if our grade was added in.
"We got an A!" Her smile brightened as she high-fived me. My stomach did a little dance as we touched hands. It was silent as Kinsley continued to scroll on her phone as I still petted her dog, thinking of ways to say what I wanted to say.
"Kinsley, I like you." I blurted out. "I've liked you ever since middle school, when I helped you look for your library book. Ever since then I've had feelings for you and I was too scared to tell you. Then high school came and I was still scared to tell you how I feel, but you ended up dating Jasper in sophomore year and my friends said that I was way out of your league, so I ended up believing them. Now that I finally got that off my chest, I just really, really, really like you: Kinsley Armelle Rowan." She was speechless at what I had just told her. I expressed my feelings for her, finally getting everything off my chest.
"Ok, um, wow." She let out a breathy laugh, still not exactly knowing what to say.
"Um I-I think I should go." I said, I should've never said that. I probably freaked her out, and now she probably wants nothing to do with me. Plus I really don't want to know what her feelings are towards me.
"Wait E-" She started to say, but I cut her off.
"No, I'll just go. I shouldn't have said anything. I mean you just got out of a relationship. Um I'll see you at school I guess." I hurried up and walked off, needing to get out of here.
