'And that was Story of My Life by One Direction. Speaking of, did you hear that Zayn Malik -'
It was everywhere, remindng her that her fiance, her love, the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with- ran away. Ran away from her.
Perrie sat with an undefying aurua of grief. It was thick, even the bottle of hard liquor in her hands couldn't loosen it. She turned the tv off, staring at it's coal grey screen. Her reflection taunted her, mocked her, killed her.
"Was it me?" She questioned herself, her gaze turning to the picture of her and Zayn in a small silver frame next to couch, it sat perkly straight, displaying smiling faces, nothing like hers. "I should have worn that red dress." She stood, knocking the blankets riddled with tissues and food crums to the floor and stumbling to her bedroom.
"Where are you?" She cursed, ripping her clothes off her hangers and to the ground. "Where are you?" Perrie cried, her mouth closed when she found it. Still it in wrapping, hanging in glory. With carefull but drunk hands, she took it of the hanger, staring at it with misty eyes.
In silence she placed it on the bed, quickly undressing before slipping into it. It hugged her body in brillance, low cut and breath taking, he was right. She should have worn that dress at the premiere. Taking her hair out of it's bun, Perrie brushed her blonde strands, eyeing herself furiously in the mirror.
Maybe if she would have stayed on that diet plan... her hands smoothed down the dress on her sides, she frowned at her figure, sucking in before exhaling.
In the bathroom, Perrie smiled at her abundance of makeup. "Weren't my eyes big enough, weren't they beautiful enough?" She wiped her eyes, applying liquids and powders. "I even got lip work done for you, Zayn!" Perrie growled, she threw the makeup into the sink in anger.
"Wasn't I good enough?" She mummered as her fingers touched up her makeup. "Wasn't good enough..." a burp escpaed her lips. She analysed herself with a critical eye. "If I wasn't good enough, why-why did you marry me?"
Her heartbreak drove her into anger as she screamed, shooving things around. "We were perfect, perfect Zayn! Young and -and beautiful and rich and f-famous." She began to ramble under her breath, her mouth running faster than her brain, "and I-I... I love you! And I-" she picked up the bottle of tequila, bringing it to her lips with no real thought, just chugging it down as fast as she could.
The burning in her throat numbed in the pain in her chest. A ring of the door made her stop with a girlish whine. "Whoo isss it?" She sang, twirling around. She was drunk now. No doubt.
"Perrie-" It was Ablie, the one person of the opposite sex who knew Perrie better than she did. As soon as she opened the door, there was something different. About him.
His green eyes sparkled the way Zayn's would when Perrie surprised him at the studio. His hair, wet and slicked to his forehead from the rain seemed as soft and perfect looking at her husbands. His shirt clug to his torso, difying abdominal muscles Perrie never noticed before.
Till now.
"Perrie are you drunk?" Albie curled his lips into a frown, he hated seeing her like this. Behind the makeup, behind it all, he could see it. She grabbed his hand, pulling him with a tug. "Perrie your flat is a mess w-"
...
Silence.
Under the sound of grief, under the anger and heart break, curiosity and loneliness, was silence.
Silence cut up by the smacking of lips, soft thuds of clothes dropping to the floor, an empty tequila bottle falling of the coffee table.
Silence in form of adultry.
A silence of the same, not too far off in North Carolina.
