CardCaptor : The Journey Continues

Chapter 2: Night Captor debuts

Lian

I use my rollerblades as fast my legs can carry me. Man, that Windy card is faster than I thought it would. 

Kiro said, "I know you can do this, Night Captor. You have the powers of two CardCaptors.

You can do this, Lian." 

I turn to the small Guardian, "It's not going to be that easy you know. Is the Windy Card more powerful than all of the Sakura Cards?"

"Not exactly. The Elements of Earth, Fire, Water are one of the Elements of the Sakura Cards powerful combined. Windy is an Fly Card. " 

I groan, "Is there anything else I should know about?"

"Well, this is your first Capture, Lian. Your mother would be totally amaze of what you're capable of." 

I smiled a bit, as I noticed the Windy Card going further into the city. 

"It's going too fast, Kiro! What shall I do?" I ask. 

"Summon your Staff!" Kiro said, with concern in his voice. 

Amanda

I was walking home, when I noticed a girl with a mask rollerblading through the streets. 

"Who could that be?" I wondered out loud as I listened to the voice, "It's going too fast , Kiro! What shall I do?"

I recognize that voice anywhere. It has been Lian! But what's with the costume?

"Key to the Star, with power burning light, reveal the Star staff, with all your light! 

Release!" 

I grabbed the video camera as I film the scene. 

"What you going to do, Night Captor?" Her partner, a yellow stuffed animal ask. 

"I'm going to jump in top of the Sakura Clow Card and seal it while it still flying!" She said, which causes him to grow surprise of her plan. 

"Are you really insane?!?" He yells as she jumps through the side bar and leaps through the air and lands on top of the bird. 

"Be careful!" Kiro said in worry tone. 

"Windy Card, return from where you came!"  Night Captor exclaimed as she touches with her staff as she gradually slides to the ground as I finished filming the capture. 

"Unbelievable." I said. 

The next day at school, Lian sighs in deep thought. "Hey, Lian. I wanted to show you something on my camera." 

She winces as she notice the Capture of the Windy Card. 

"You were watching me the whole time, Amanda?!?" She said in shock tone. 

"Yep, I recorded the whole Capture thing. You were incredible as Night Captor, Lian. Does your parents know about any this stuff?"

Lian said, " Kiro told me that both of my parents were CardCaptors when they were our age. Still, I don't understand why they would keep all this a secret from me.

It's my turn to keep the Sakura Clow Cards a secret from them, as being the new CardCaptor. Amanda, please don't tell my parents about anything has happened so far. "

"Sure thing, I'll keep your secret until you are confident to reveal it to your Mom and Dad. "  

Lian sighs a big relief, as if it was a big rock was weighing on her shoulders. 

"I think Night Captor is amazing . I bet she can get the next Capture for sure. Let me record all your captures in near future, Lian. That way you can keep all the cards you already captured in check." I suggested. 

Lian said, "I never thought of it that way, Amanda. I'm glad that I had a friend who looks out for me." 

Sakura

I was walking home from work when I notice an familiar feeling. It seems distant, but I knew that something was indeed wrong. 

Madison appears as she knew I was thinking. "Sakura! Do you sense the Sakura Clow Card?"

"I think so, but it's impossible. Syaoran and I closed the book years ago and we never opened the seal or seen Kiro since I had Lian. Something must've happened." 

"Then we must tell Yue what is going on." Madison declares. 

As I saw Julian, he said, "Come in. "  

We sat down in his living room, "I'll change to Yue." 

Yue appears as he said, "Sakura, what is wrong?"

"Yue, don't you sense it? It's the Sakura Clow Cards, I'm sure of it." I said. 

The Guardian was stunned, "I thought that you and Syaoran never opened the book and the magic disappeared."

Madison asks, "What you think we should do? If the Seal is open, doesn't Lee and Sakura have to be CardCaptors again?"

"I really don't know if that is possible, Madison. I think something else is at work here. Do you want Julian to know about this?"

I thought about it for a moment, Julian had been though so much lately, taking care of his son, Johnny, and it has been hard for him to keep his other personality as a secret from him.

It also was hard on my brother, Tori, who used to have the ability of seeing Spirits and he given up his powers to save Julian and Yue from disappearing forever.

But it doesn't matter now. I think we need his help more than ever this time around.

"Yeah, I think it would help us solve this mystery. I also inform Eli and Ruby of what's going on as well. "

Yue shifts to his other form as Julian said, "This is going to be difficult that I thought it would. "  

Lian

I couldn't believe that I was able to do a Capture on my first try! Still, I'm kind of upset that Mom and Dad hid an family heirloom, like the Sakura Clow Card Book hidden in a basement.

I am curious why they didn't bother to mention any of this to me, about our family history.

"Hey, Squirt. Is something bothering you?" I hear a voice ask. I turned to the voice who was speaking to me, as it was revealed to be my uncle Tori, my mother's big brother.

"Uncle Tori! I'm sorry , it's just I felt lost. It's just I discovered something so big that my parents hid from me, and I don't know how I should feel about it. " I explain to him.

I considered Tori to be not just my relative, but as one of my best friends .

"Awe, I'm sure that you would make amends with Syaoran and Sakura someday. You're their daughter after all."

I smiled, "Thanks, Tori. You really do know what to say when I'm down with something."

Tori winks, "Is there anything that you want to talk about, Lian, I'm right there to be on your side, no matter what."

But I was thinking about being Night Captor. Can I really live up to my parents' legacy?
