Chapter 5: Cryptic Messages
"Rosea. ROSEA," my science teacher Mr. Elk called me.
"Sorry what?" I asked confused making everyone turn to face me in shock. I'm the golden girl I always pay attention in class except for today.
"I asked what are the four phases of Mitosis," he sighed looking at me angrily.
"Sorry sir. They are Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, and Telephase PMAT for short," I answered.
"Right, now Arkain explain what each one......" I droned out again after that.
What is going on with me. Lately I've been feeling sick anytime I'm near Ark, and we sit beside each other in every class. Since the graveyard incident I haven't talked to Ark, and now when I'm near him I start to feel sick. The longer the class went on the sicker I became until I started to feel faint and everything went dark.
A few hours later I woke up in a completely white room, and I was hooked up to monitors. There were vases full of white roses and a giant Teddy bear was lying beside me with a note attached. So of course I decided to read it who'd be thoughtful enough to get my favourite flowers and a teddy bear for me.
I'm worried R. What's been going on lately? You've been acting strange and seem to be getting sicker by the day. What is causing it? Let me help you love.

There was no signature anywhere on the note. Why would someone buy me a giant Teddy Bear an not take any credit for it? Unless if it's Adrain's attempt at an apology my brother always has had wierd ways of apologizing.
"Oh your finally awake dearie," an elderly nurse said walking into the room.
"Where am I?" I asked confused.
"The Palace infirmary dearie. Our dearest Prince was worried about you when you collapsed in class, so he brought you here. I can see why the Prince is trying to fight his parents about marrying the real Princess when he's in love with such a beautiful young lady," she said smiling brightly.
"Wait Ark brought me here and what do you mean he's in love with me? That is completely ridiculous we hate each other. Besides isn't he worried that people will find out he's the Prince?" I asked and watched as her face paled.
"What are you talking about dearie? The Prince's name isn't Ark," she said panicking.
"It's alright Vani. I suspected that she knew the day we visited the school, I believe that she has known for some time without Arkain realizing it. Right Rosea?" the King asked waking into the room.
"Your very perseptive Your Majesty," I responded trying to get up to bow which was making me grimace in pain.
"Not as percetive as you and we'd appreciate it if you stayed in the bed. We still don't know what caused your collapse and I was hoping we could ask you a few questions," the king said holding his hands up as if to push me back down on the bed if I disobeyed.
"Ok," I responded weakly with a smile.
"First is there any chance that your pregnant?: he asked making me choke.
"WHAT?! No way Sire," I said gasping for breath.
"Sorry it's just a mandatory qustion. Did you know before the true King and Queen died I was the royal doctor?" he asked me.
"No," I replied confused.
"Well I've seen reactions like these before. Which leads me to believe that your the......."
