"son its been long now just get married.you are 106 years old now" rome sat silently at the long dinner table. he sat at one corner and his parents sat at the other. He was not liking the way this conversation was going.
"Mom i will get married when i feel like. Do not pressure me" he said as softly as he can but he could not hide the words of distress.
As he looked up from his plate at his parents he froze.they were looking at him with sympathy. He did not want it. he was absolutely fine the way he was. He always told his parents that he did not want a mate but that was 90 years ago and now all he wants is her. To feel her to touch her to love her. Even though everyone in this world fears him but deep inside that cold heart. He still longs for his mate who is god knows where.
"But kaira?" He was now getting angry. He knew he had to make a decision.
The only reason why he got engaged was because they needed a heir to continue his legacy. Kaira is a nice lady with beautiful curves but those curves did not lure him the way it should have already. Its like he can't get turned on by any female. At one point he started to question himself if he was really into females. Kaira is unmated and the betas daughter. She is a sweet lady with badass sense of humor. He liked her but not the way everyone wants.
Rome stood up from the table leaving the plate half empty and made his way to his parents.
He slide out the thin gold envelope and handed it over to his mom. "Its the invitation to summer ball" His mom's eyes widen at the information inside. She looked up at him surprised about the information.
"Red river? You sure you want to go to that place? That war.." She asked with a frown.
"Yes we don't have an option" his wolf surprisingly was calm.
"The slave has returned" his father said in worry tone as he read the details of the invitation.
"Yes and we are going to meet her soon" he said looking at his parents.
She is important to complete the prophecy.
He hoped she wasn't a bitch.
