A year and a half earlier...

"Come on Kathy!" Grace called to Kathy as Kathy was distracted by taking photos of the rustic broken down looking Greek style buildings.

"Seriously, I think you have enough photos for all of us." Grace stated to Kathy referring to the group of 5 five students that were traveling together.

"Sorry, You know how much I love taking photos." Kathy apologized, though their irritation didn't bother her, "I must have gotten it from my mother." Kathy knew they must either love her how she is or not be friends with her.

The five Friends; Kathy, Grace, Mary, Tom and Duce where all on a trip together to Greece. Most of them had been together in college studying environmentalism. Duce was the only one who isn't. He was more of a stray they picked up along the way through their studies. Now that was an interesting story. Anyways, these five hard studiers got along so well because they were all pursuing a dream and they encouraged each other to get there. Now after five long years of studying and surviving together they are celebrating with a trip. That is what brought them to Greece.

"Come on Guys! If we want to meet up with them we have to catch the train to the coast." Mary called to a lagging Kathy and Grace. After catching up they all boarded the train.

"I can't believe someone you know from Cali also happens to be in Greece." Duce states picking up the nonexistent conversation like he usually does.

"Ya, it's quite a funny coincidence." Mary states, "You guys will like him. I've known him since middle school."

"How did you guys meet again?" Grace asks.

"Unfortunately we were both nerds being picked on by the same bully and we seemed to gravitate toward each other. We've been good friends ever since." Mary states.

Kathy could defiantly see Mary as a Nerd in high school. Though Kathy didn't think Mary was anything but a wonderful girl with a great personality, she could still see that the quiet very conservative plain girl could be put in that 'nerd' category.

The train arrived at the coast of Greece and as the group stepped out into the cultural area they couldn't hold back there amazed faces. The small town with the beautiful white buildings complimented the clear water of the ocean in a serene and gorgeous way. The rock formations around the area just built into the style of the greek look. Beautiful was an understatement.

"I'm defiantly hitting the water as soon as I can." Grace voiced. The whole group agreed. Kathy couldn't put her camera down which was a compliment in itself.

They found their way down to the place Mary's friend was staying at. It was right next to water but on quite a high rock separating the house from the beach. The five friends arrived and stood in front of a huge grand gate. They all just stood at this beautiful gate in awe.

"Are you sure we are at the right place?" Tom asks Mary. Mary checks the address again.

"Yep."

"Well, I gotta say, you know how to make friends Mary." Duce says while everyone is still looking with shock at the entrance.

Mary takes a deep breathe, "Here goes nothing." She presses the doorbell.

After waiting a minute or so they hear, "Hey Mary! I am just going to buzz you guys in."

Everyone turns to see a man waving from the top of the driveway looking over the low white wall. To say Kathy was surprised was an understatement. If this friend of Mary's was made fun of in school because of looking like a nerd he defiantly wasn't one now, Kathy thought to herself. The gentleman with slink looking brunette hair matched with soft brown eyes. He was slightly tan, probably from the Greek sunny weather, with white shorts on and a collared t-shirt on. You could see the man was sporty by the way his clothes fitted nicely on his figure.
