We stood several feet apart both clutching our weapons for safety.
"Nathan." My name echoed, emphasising the lack of other sounds.
"Torikku. Nice to meetcha, i guess." She said.
The wind picked up, and i asked her why she was hiding in those bushes watching me.
"Uh," her blush gives away her embarrassment. "I was just watching you to find out how bad you techy-warrior people fight. You're decent, i guess."
"So you thought you could beat me?"
"Y-yeah..."
"Okay. Well do you need me to walk you back to the village?" I asked, clearly making fun of her.
"H-HEY! I'm not a child!" She squealed, like a child.
"Yeah whatever. Less' go."

In the village, I persisted in making fun of her,
"Hey are you allowed in here?" I asked as we approached the local bar.
"H-hey! I'm not! A! Child!" Her playful squeal rang in my ears.
"Yeahh. Okay."
We stepped into the bar. The green wallpaper was peeling off, the wooden floor with holes in reflected the dim overhead lights. A single ceiling fan spun round in the centre of the room, providing nothing towards cooling the room. Pictures of album covers hung from the walls and being played on an old jukebox (it took all of my effort to not ask whether they wanted it upgraded).
When i ordered drinks, a squad of teenage boys (not that younger than myself) stepped behind us, closing off the exit.
"Alright cunt, i got this one, back off" they muttered among themselves, before one stepped forwards.
"Yo, my friend there thinks your fit and dat. You should like, go out." A cocky boy with a bad bowl of blonde hair balanced on his head said. The boy, clearly the one who thought Torriku was "fit and dat", pulled his friend back.
"Yuh, you're hot and hella' thicc. How 'bout you come back to my room and it can get hella' lit, just the two of us?"
"Um, no thanks. I'm busy" Torriku said.
The dickhead tried to grab her arm, but i stepped forward and blocked the hand's path. He threw a punch, so I caught it, and flipped him. His friends stepped up. A had wanted to draw as least attention as possible, but given the current situation, intimidation was probably the easiest way. I pulled Itami out of its sheath. It's fiery crimson glow danced on the petrified features of the gang.

"Woah, what was that?" Torriku asked.
"Um, they were just assholes, i can't let them do that to someone like yo- a little girl! Ha!" I retorted, trying to clear up my mistake.
"One, IM NOT A LITTLE GIRL!" she screamed, earning several strange looks from the people in the bar. "Two, what were you saying about someone like me?" Her voice had a certain cheeky tone, yet her cheeks were rosy red.
