"Dude, I don't know what to tell you. I think you are just going to have to accept that your boners won't be enough to get her attention"
I was pacing the room trying to figure out what to do. I mean this had to be a joke right? Hope would never go on a date with Chad.
"Dude?"
It was simple. I just needed to find out where they went.
"DUDE!"
I turned my head.
"What Jackson? What could be more important than the love of my life?!"
"You are acting insane! It is just a date. If Hope is smart, she will realize how much of a jackass Chad is."
I looked in the bathroom mirror and actually saw my self. I looked like a mess. I was acting actually insane. I sat down on my bed next to Jackson.
"You're right. I guess I was just so mad at myself...that I forgot Hope is a person too who can do what she wants", I stared at the floor, "I think I'll just go to bed...maybe tomorrow will be better"
"If you say so. Hey! Maybe we could have a guys night tomorrow!"
I looked at Jackson with a pervy face.
"Don't do that"
Eventually Jackson got up and left. I laid down and just tried to get some sleep.
....
....
....
*BANG*BANG*BANG*
I bolted up right in my bed, someone was banging on my door. I looked at the clock; it was 2:30 in the morning.
"What the hell", I muttered to myself as I stumbled to the door.
When I opened the door I was shocked to see Hope standing there.
"Hope? What are you doing here?..It's almost 3:00 in the morning.."
"Dakota, I am really sorry but I have a problem"
"Uhh...okay? What happened", Of course I didn't need her to answer. I knew that whatever the problem was, it involved Chad.
"I had a a date tonight with this guy and he had a few drinks....*sigh* and now he is passed out in my car and won't wake up. I don't know what to do, because not only can I not carry him, but security is tight around this place....I know that we haven't talked in a really long time, but all of my other friends are out and I don't know what to do..."
I stared at her in awe. She looked really stressed which didn't seem like her at all.
"Yeah..I can help, but I don't know if I will be able to lift him", If you looked at me, you would understand that I have the arms of noodles and the legs of twigs, "You know what? Let me get my friend Jackson and we'll help".
We walked down to Jacksons room and told him Hopes situation.
"Dakota, how in the world do you get yourself into these situations?"
"That's not important right now! Can't you see we are on a mission here?!", I whispered as loudly as I could. Hope giggled and I blushed. Jackson must have saw this because he chuckled before grabbing his jacket and walking out the door with us.
Getting to Chad was the easy part, it was getting back while carrying him and ducking around every corner that was going to be difficult. I opened Hopes car and what I saw made me angry; Chad was asleep in the back, with throw up all down his shirt and drool half way down his face.
"Was he like this all night?", I asked Hope.
"Well he was very pleasant and flattering in the beginning....but he just started acting rude and got drunk...and I almost left him at the restaurant but he fell asleep in my car before I could kick him out.....I can't believe I was such an idiot to go out with him."
Jackson and I latched onto Chad and started dragging him back to the dorm. We were half way there before a bright light was shined on us.
"Hey! What are you kids doing out here?", it was the security guard.
We quickly turned around as the guard marched up to us. And me, being the smooth and calm man that I am, gabbed Jackson and Hope, screamed 'RUN' and we run as fast as we could, with Chad in our arms, back to our dorm. I think the only reason we could even get past that guard was because he looked like he would die of old age any moment. Jackson and I could hardly breath as we haled Chad up the stairs in a rush.
"It only took 45 minutes, be we finally made it", Jackson said as we threw Chad onto his bed.
"Yeah, thanks a lot guys", Hope said," and Dakota I am really sorry that THIS is our first actual interaction in, like, 4 years"
"What? I-it's no problem! Always happy to help", I said with a chuckle. Jackson looked back and forth at the two of us.
"You know I'm kinda tired, I think I'm gonna hit the sack!", Jackson said as he walked out the door with a smirk and mouthing the word 'CONDOMS'. I gave him a death glare before Hope spoke again.
"Well you know, I don't have any classes after 1:00am tomorrow...soooo do you maybe want to get lunch and actually catch up? For real this time"
I knew that I had classes during that time but I didn't care. This was more important than some stupid class that I would, probably, never remember in the future.
"Yeah! I-I mean sure! I think I'm free"
"Awesome. Meet me at the edge of the football field at about 1:30, okay?"
"Okay", I said as Hope strut out the door.
Just then I heard Chad snore obnoxiously loud. I laughed.
'Guess who has someone no-', but before I could finish my thought, Chad threw up on the floor and fell back asleep.
'I can't just have one actual win can I?'
