When I got back home, I kept my promise and checked the pocket. It was a small piece of paper that was folded. I opened it and it had his number on it. He called me Danny boy, on it. I loved the name, and at the bottom it said to text him. So I did. I had sat down at the table. There was plenty of time before I have to go to bed, "Hey, I didn't see you come in." My mom said walking down the hall. "Oh, Hi. I just walked in a few seconds ago." My mom walked over to the cupboard and grabbed a glass. "Want some water?" My mom filled her glass. "No, I'm good. Thank you." She sat down across from me. "Nice jacket, did Blaise get a new one? It doesn't seem his style." I looked down at the jacket, it was a punk jacket, with a few tears in it, and a few patches. The tears seem like they weren't there intentionally, like it just happened. They looked awesome on it. "Oh, uh no, it's not Blaise's. My friend Justin let me borrow it." She looked surprised, "Justin? Is this a new interest?" She made smooch noises. "Stop it!" I blushed and hid in his jacket. "I don't even think he's gay or bi." I mumbled. "I didn't think you were, but that changed." Just then my phone buzzed 'Hey Danny Boy! Whatcha up to?' My heart skipped a beat. My mother noticed, "My Danny has a crush! That's so cute." "Mom! It's not a crush, it's just a guy I know that's very attractive and stuff." By the end my words trailed off, but she understood them. "Whatever you say Danny, I would like to meet Justin before you guys do stuff okay?" She stood up and put her glass in the sink. "Okay."~~~
