After staying in the park for a few more minutes, we both decided to head out to get more groceries and to see what we could do in our free time. Maybe I could use this time to train a little and let Sasuke get used to the kids, since he was going to stay with me for a while. I grabbed my wallet and the baby carriers, placing them on again. Sasuke helped place Sarada in the back baby carrier and grabbed his katana just in case. Before I left the rooms, I grabbed a picnic blanket and sealed it in a scroll, taking it with me. We both walked to the local market and roamed the aisles, taking the things we needed like diapers and food. After I paid, I handed Sasuke the bags and walked out the door. He followed me as I walked over to a food stand and ordered a small snack for the both of us to eat while we were training. The stand owner packed the food in a take-out box and wished me good luck, seeing that I had two babies. I smiled at him and said, "Thanks, but I don't need luck." Then, I turned to Sasuke and motioned towards the direction of the nearest training grounds. He nodded and began to walk. I don't know why, but the nearest, open training ground is ALWAYS Team 7's. We placed our things in the shade of the trees and set up a blanket so Sarada and Daisuke could play or sleep on it while Sasuke and I trained/sparred. Sasuke helped me unbuckle the back carrier and laid Sarada on the blanket as I did the same to Daisuke. I made sure that they couldn't roll away and walked to Sasuke, who was already in the middle of the training grounds. "Make sure you don't throw any thing near the kids," I said as I slipped on my gloves and got into position. He nodded and stepped into his stance.
We charged at each other and started throwing punches and kicks at each other. I occasionally looked over at the twins, who were sleeping, making sure they were safe. They were quiet for a while, until Daisuke started to cry. We immediately stopped sparring and I ran over to them, picking Daisuke up as I sat down. I started to rock him, which made him calm down a bit, but Sarada had been woken up by her brother's cries. Now I had two babies crying and I already had my hands full with one. Sasuke walked over and picked Sarada up, copying my movements with Daisuke. We got them to calm down, but they wouldn't go back to sleep, so I told Sasuke to keep training while I watched over the twins. I played around with them, peek-a-boo and tickling their bellies, occasionally baby-talking to them. Once in a while, I would look over at Sasuke, who would be working on basic justu or taijutsu with one of the padded wooden poles. I wished that I could join him in the training, but I had to take care of my children as a proper mother would. We stayed there for a while longer, but left before the sun started to set since I had to make dinner and get the twins in bed before we eat.
Sasuke helped me gather all of the things and strap the babies back into the carriers. Then we both walked home, side by side like we used to do after our missions as a team with Naruto. Talked, a little, but the rest was all silence. Sasuke opened the door and set the bags on the kitchen counter, then went into his room. I started to unpack the bags and set some pans on the stove to make dinner, but was interrupted by some knocks on the door. I dropped whatever was in my hands and walked over to the door, looking in the peephole to identify the people at my door. But I immediately regretted my decision because I saw Naruto's face with a stupid grin on his face. I opened the door and asked, "What are you doing here, Naruto? And why is Kakashi tied up on my porch?" On the floor, a couple feet away from Naruto, Kakashi was bound with regular rope that you would find, but it was sealed with a tag. His eye looked like he was pleading with me since his mouth was taped shut and also sealed. "I had to get him out of his house! I wanted Team 7 to have dinner together!" Naruto exclaimed. Sarada, on my back, moved and showed some signs of waking up so I told him to shut up. Then, I walked over to Kakashi and undid the seals. He immediately sighed in relief and said, "Thank you, Sakura... Naruto, you could've just asked me." Naruto, in turn, grinned like an idiot and apologized. "I'm all for a team dinner, but you'll have to convince Sasuke. He's in the room down the hall," I said and pointed to Sasuke's room. Naruto ran in and burst into Sasuke's room.
A few minutes later, Naruto was kicked out of the room and the door slammed shut. I figured that Sasuke had said no, but Naruto had the silly grin on his face. "He's coming, believe it." I didn't believe him, but Sasuke soon emerged from his room and went into my room. He walked out with the bag I pack for the babies. I don't know how he knew about it, but I thanked him anyway. I closed all the lights and locked the door, so that we could go to wherever we were going. Along the way, I took the bag from Sasuke and told him that I could carry my own things, including my children's belongings. He refused the first couple times, but soon gave me the bag because he didn't want to argue with me. Naruto dragged all of us to Ichiraku, but it was already closing so we went to the barbecue place instead. We got a table in the back corner of the restaurant, where there weren't that many tables around. I undid the carriers and held the two in my arms as we got seated and the menus. We soon ordered our food and thought back on old missions while we waited. I took the chance to ask how they got Sasuke to come back to the village. They went silent for a while, but then Naruto began to speak.
"Well... Kakashi-sensei and I were sent on a mission to track Orochimaru down because he was doing something bad. I think he sent Sasuke to kill us because we didn't even get close to that place before we ran into him. I guess he really wanted to kill us since Kakashi used his Sharingan to do something that made Sasuke stop and fall to the ground. It was weird... Sasuke-teme could still speak, blink, and breathe, but he couldn't move his hands or feet. Then he screamed, 'I'm not going back to the village, Naruto! You can't make me! Blah, blah, blah...' He got really annoying and noisy, so Kakashi crouched down to him and whispered something in his ear. Sasuke stopped yelling, then got up and said that he would help us with Orochimaru. His face changed, like he was seeking more revenge. He killed Orochimaru and smiled when he did... it looked creepy. And he looked like an idiot and-" "Naruto, get back to the point," Kakashi said interrupting him. "Fine. After we made sure that Orochimaru was dead, Sasuke told us to go ahead and that he would catch up later. We camped out a couple of miles out and waited for Sasuke to arrive before moving. He showed, which was a surprise, and we were just about to leave when a bird from Konoha appeared. It said that you were found and that we needed to hurry back. All three for us left right away, but it took us a month to get back to the village, ya know," Naruto said.
I turned to Sasuke and asked, "What did Kakashi say to you that made you come back?" He looked at me, then turned his head saying, "Said that you disappeared and thought that Orochimaru had captured you for his own reasons. I thought..." He didn't say anything after that. The food soon arrived, and we toasted to our team, with water of course. We began to talk about the stupid things that Naruto used to do, which made us talk louder due to the fond memories. It was a miracle that the twins stayed sleeping through the whole thing. More food came, and we soon had piles of empty plates on the table. When we finished, the boys split the bill while I put the twins in the carriers, and we walked out of the restaurant together, but went our separate ways a few minutes later. Sasuke and I walked in silence, but stayed close to each other since it was a bit dangerous to be out at night due to the gangs and on going robberies. We got home safe, but went immediately to wash and get to bed. Sasuke went into the bathroom first as I was washing the babies in the sink and placed them in their cribs, located in my room. By the time I was done setting Daisuke in bed, Sasuke had finished washing, so I went to wash myself.
When I was done, I wished Sasuke good night and shut the door to my room when I went in. I took out a book and began to read, as I had to stay up anyway. Sure enough, Sarada started to make a fuse a few minutes later. It was going to be a long night, again.
