You know how people say they feel like they are drowning, or caught in a storm? I'm in what comes after. My boat has capsized. I'm left panicked, trying to breathe and stay above water. The storm kept throwing big waves into my face. Now, the storm has calmed but my boat is gone and broken. I'm floating on the water to exhausted to swim and look for land. I just lay, drained of everything, hoping a plane or boat can save me. But that doesn't happen in real life. We are lost: lost to sea and lost to ourselves.
