A Typical Saturday, Or is it?

Today is Saturday. A day of plain boredom. A lot of people wait for Saturdays, but when its actually here, and you don't have plans, then it can get pretty boring.

My Saturdays are not just boring, but very annoying because I'm stuck babysitting Selene. She's 16, and I'm stuck babysitting her. 16!

My parents both work on Saturdays and because she can get really uncontrollable sometimes, they told me to look after her. So I'm stuck with her the whole day.

But anyways, my typical Saturday routine goes something like this:

I usually wake up around 11, but in some cases, 12. I wash up and head over to the kitchen for some breakfast. Usually it's either cereal or french toast.

After breakfast I check on Selene. She's either on her bed texting or in the bathroom taking her Saturday morning spa bath. That's what she calls it but really, its just filling the tub up with hot water and putting in a fizz ball. She claims if she doesn't take that bath then her whole Saturday turns out a disaster.

I don't really know what she means by that but anyways, after I check on her I head over to the living room and turn on my favorite morning drama. Its called 'Bad Cases of Love' and its about this girl who falls in love with a guy but later finds out that he is actually the son of her mom's new boyfriend. Crazy, I know. But hey, you can't help but watch it.

After the show, I go out to my front yard and water my mom's roses. Then I run the vaccum, do the laundry, feed the fish, and finally flop onto my bed. I check my phone for messages, and as always, none.

At this point its about 3 P.M so until 5, I just have to make sure Selene doesn't do anything stupid, like the last time when she snuck her boyfriend into the house through her window.

I'm telling you, that girl is crazy sometimes. The only thing that I envy her for is the fact that she has a boyfriend. She's probably had like 3 boyfriends already, while I had none.

It kinda pissed me off sometimes when she would brag about what her boyfriend got for her birthday or what happened at the movies with him.

Mom and Dad come back at 5 so then I'm free. Dinner is at 6 and after dinner I play a game of chess with my dad and then go up to wash and play games on my phone or read till I fall asleep. This is what happens almost every Saturday.

Today was a bit different though. Mom had a schedule change at work so she had today off. I was free from babysitting and had the whole day for myself.

In my happiness of freedom, I decided I would eat something special for breakfast today and made chocolate chip pancakes with scrambed eggs and to go along with these, poured myself a glass of orange juice.

I headed over to the living room with the plate and cup for my morning drama and ate away. In today's episode, Natilie, the main character, caught her mom's boyfriend, Matt, cheating. 'Oh he's gonna get it when her mom finds out.',I thought in my head.

After the show, since I had a big breakfast and all, I decided I would take a walk to the park. You know to exercise and all. I got dressed and headed out. I decided to call up Bella and ask her if she wanted to hang, so she agreed and said she would meet me at the park.

When I arrived, I went over to one of the benches and breathed in the dry California air. It felt so good to be out on a Saturday in such a long time.

I looked over at the playground and watched the little toddlers go down the slide with their mothers holding their hands.

I remembered one time when I was 7, I tired to go down the slide on my scooter but I lost my balance and crash landed on the wood chips. I got a big cut on my knee, and eventually formed a faint scar.

I looked over once again to the tennis court and decided to take a look at the people playing. Tennis was the only actual sport that I liked to play.

On arriving I saw 2 men playing and boy, were they good. The man with the red shirt especially. I walked over to the gate to the court for a better view.

Wow. The man in the red shirt was not only good at tennis but pretty handsome. He looked about in his earily 40's, but he had this amazing youthful glow about him that made you not care about his age.

“Snap out of it Sarah! Are you really drooling over someone who is old enough to be your father?! Gross!”, I quickly disiplined myself.

'Something is seriously wrong with me', I thought as I turned around to leave.

“Omphh!” Just as I turned around I bumped into somebody.

“Excuse me”, a deep voice said.

I looked up, and couldn't believe my eyes.
