"She's a mutt!" I kept repeating to myself again and again. "She killed my family and now I must kill her!" I shouted as loud as I could, many people started to gather round to watch the big show but I wasn't bothered by that, I just had to complete my mission. (Katniss's pov) I see Peeta running towards me, eyes red and bright red with anger, I remember this look from when he came over and strangled me, I knew I had to run. I quickly ran up the stairs into our bedroom and waited on the other side of the bed. Suddenly, a mutt version of Peeta stormed through the door and leaped straight on to me. From here it was quite a blur, the last thing I remember after he leapt on me was him clutching his two hands around my throat. (Peeta's pov) I begin to come around but I cannot remember anything that happened but all I can see when I start to feel normal again was a bunch of faces all friends of ours and Katniss's and Gale. I look down to the floor, where everyone is staring and that's when I notice Katniss unconscious, bruised and bleeding with Haymitch and Gale by her side. That's when I begin to realise that I had done this to my darling fiancée who I promised I would love forever and never hurt - I lied to her and then I thought that I can not marry Katniss Everdeen, not if I could hurt her like this. When she comes around, I am going to have to split up with Katniss, the girl I have loved since I was five.
(Katniss's pov) I wake up surrounded by four white, plain walls and by Haymitch, Effie and my fiancée. I turn my head towards his beautiful face but since I passed out, well I think I did, he had a look on his face that showed sadness. As my eyes fully adjust to the brightness of the room, I speak. "What happened to me?" "I almost killed you again. I strangled you, Haymitch, Effie would it be ok if you just let us have some privacy if that's ok." "Yea, sure." They answered in unison. "Gale showed me some videos that triggered memories and I came straight to our house and strangled you until you were unconscious." Peeta said in a voice that was so quiet and full of guilt. "Peeta, honey - this isn't your fault, it is Gale's for triggering memories. Where is that idiot, I want to talk to him now!!!" "Katniss, it wasn't his fault, I shouldn't have done that to you, I should have controlled myself and I don't want you do live the rest of your years in danger of me, which is why I'm going to call of the wedding, I think we need a break." Tears start to run down my face and I could barely speak but I few words come out as he walks out the door and I could see this was hurting him just as much. "Peeta, please - I love you." More tears start to release from my eyes and then I realise there is nothing left for me, I have no one, the one person that kept me going and kept me from staying on this earth and now he is gone.
