heeyoung's pov
for the past few days, taehyung and i have been sneaking glances here and there during our classes. during mr. daeshim's class, we joke around with each other and talk with our eyes.
he's just so cute, especially with his small grin.
i pout my lips and cross me eyes, goofing off. i giggle after and he looks down shyly, smiling to himself. i hear little giggles escaping from him also.
wow, i'm so glad i can make him laugh.
next, he sticks out his tongue and closes one eye. then, he flashes a giant smile, his eyes disappearing.
"mine was better," i mouth. i cross my arms with sass. a strand of hair falls in front of my face.
his face lights up. he comes closer, his finger moving the hair away. however, he doesn't back away. i stare directly into his eyes, blushing.
what's happening?
before his face can move any closer, mr. daeshim yells,
"taehyung and heeyoung! please pay attention." taehyung backs away immediately and grips his pencil. i tuck the strand of hair behind my ear and turn away from taehyung, my face still burning up. i smile to myself, thinking about the tiny moment.
oh my god, he was so close to my face? what was he gonna do?
i look up if anyone has witnessed what happened. some eyes are focused on the two of us, but i don't really care. i divert my attention to taehyung and he continues to copy the random numbers displayed on the board.
"okay, remember the homework, everyone!" mr. daeshim announces, tearing right through my inner thoughts. the bells rings and everyone exits the classroom for lunch. as i make my way through the hallway, i encounter hoseok.
"hey, hoseok!" i look to him as he follows me by my side.
"hey! so, you're finally friends with taehyung, huh? i think you still have to tell yoongi that, then," hoseok brings up.
"yup, i told you i can do it. and i'm really glad, too! he's actually a nice person, literally the opposite of what everyone says," i explain proudly.
"really? i still have a bad feeling about him," he says.
"you don't have to be afraid of him, hoseok. he's not bad, i promise," i say softly.
"i don't know. just be careful, alright?" he pats me on the shoulder and walks way, joining the line to get food in the cafeteria.
i just know that he's not what everyone says he is. i'll prove it.
taehyung's pov
the bell rings and i stand up from my desk. after packing up, i leave classroom and i happen to be behind heeyoung. i start thinking about the moment we had a few minutes ago.
i wonder what would've happened if mr. daeshim didn't interrupt us.
i am about to approach heeyoung, but hoseok, i believe that's his name, cuts through everyone and starts walking by her side.
oh. hm.
they are pretty close, huh? is she into him? is he into her?
i start overthinking as i continue to walk behind them, a bit disappointed.
why did i think i would have a chance with heeyoung? i'm not like hoseok at all.
i frown to myself, realizing the actual truth. however, i still trail along heeyoung invisibly, then i sit at the usual table alone. i stare at my lunch until i notice a shadow over me. i look up and it's heeyoung.
