Percy's POV
After Thor showed up on my doorstep saying that I needed to come with him, I couldn't help but think it was important since outside my window, I could see the giant.
But then the Avengers showed up and I was tempted to let them try their best, see them fail and maybe go and help them after. Maybe, especially since they accused me of being a terrorist yet again. It was all in the past, they need to stop dwelling on it.
After a few minutes, a few very long minutes. Everyone finally decided to go fight a giant.
Now the key to fighting a giant is years of training, skill, agility, a good weapon and I could call out a whole list of things that are important when fighting things that aren't supposed to exist. But the most important thing to remember when fighting things from any mythology is...not getting killed.
If I'm being honest. It's usually very difficult but eventually you get the hang of it only to realise you don't really get the hang of it because its always something new.
Today was something new because I am fighting alongside a group of people who don't trust me (who dress like something fresh out of a comic book) and a god who is from a completely different mythology who refuses to call me Percy.
Life just keeps getting better and better.
By the time we got outside a lot of things were already destroyed.
I hope the Avengers realise that some people or monsters destroy things worse than I do.
Buildings were collapsing, people were running from whatever they saw, stuff was on fire and the Avengers stood there looking slightly confused.
Probably because they were seeing what everyone else saw at the same time they were seeing, well a hideous giant.
I realised I needed Goldilocks, I mean Thor's help.
I also needed to get the rest of the seven here to help me figure what the Hades was going on.
Annabeth would know what to do. She'll probably kill me for not sending her an Iris Message but at least she'll know what to do.
Back to the battle, there was a really big, freakishly hideous giant also known as my really 'good friend' Polybotes who is always trying to kill me.
Now you must be wondering if I didn't send that dude to Tartarus. The answer is yes I did and I have no idea how he's back so soon.
"You need to help me kill that thing," I said to Thor.
He nodded and we devised a fool proof plan.
Thor was supposed to go insult the giant while striking him down with lightning and I sneak up from behind and stab him somewhere.
What we didn't cater for was telling the rest of the Avengers our plan which we later on realised was a very stupid idea.
